:santa2:Afternoon to all my flylady friends!

I did the kitchen this morning - started it yesterday, but had to stop halfway through, as people wanted to have breakfast...

When I've decluttered DS2 and friend to the sales, I'll whisk round the living room, and vacuum downstairs.

DD was out yesterday, at her BF's big family 'do' in London - she said there were huge queues for both Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres... she wants to go to Lakeside with me in the next few days, as she had some 'sales shopping money' for part of her Christmas present.

I've had couple of very lazy days, which I really felt I needed, just knitting, eating chocolate, reading, and watching anything undemanding on television... and having long phone chats with my sister and my Dad, which was lovely, as he's usually not keen on talking for very long.

Love and hugs, especially for toots, lady-liberty, and lamewolf.

vanilla - I really do hope that all your family recover soon!

eta - dusty - exactly the right mood for some energetic digging - if that isn't possible, make bread and use all that pent up anger on kneading...

Thanks but the beds still have too much snow on them and I make spelt bread which only requires a gentle knead.

Woody banished to the garden, I am sick of him jumping on bed and work tops, so much stuff is covered in mud.

Kids emptying the DW now after I went screaming banshee mad.

Aah - serious old bag mood, where no suggestion will meet with approval. I'm backing out, very, very quietly now....;)

Thanks for the welcome and PM!

    [STRIKE]Cleared cupboard one[/STRIKE].
I have been very ruthless and thrown out 5 sacks of stuff that I haven't seen nor thought of for some years; obviously keeping the really sentimental stuff! The cupboard is now half filled with bits I want to take but its packed in a way that it's ready to go on moving day. I have even taken down shelves etc and chucked them ready to fill in the holes in the walls.

Ebay stuff is on the bed ready for photographing and managed 2 WM/TD loads inbetween. Photos are on the table ready for sorting when the kids are in bed and will get cupboard two done after lunch.

Well, cupboards is the wrong word; they are two built in airing cupboards that are used as dumping grounds. My fault, I have just shoved stuff in there over the years with a plan to sort it out later....

Hopefully the local dump is open tomorrow and not closed for the Christmas period or my front garden is going to attract complaints!

And @DUSTY - same here. Left the 16yo in charge downstairs whilst cleaning the cupboard and she has allowed the littlies to just trash the front room. I am livid so feel for you!

Virtual wine and chocolate for Dusty who clearly needs it - and deserves it!
and some virtual honeysuckle for Serena - I am waiting imaptiently for fragrantissima and winters beauty
Greenbee hope you are better this morning?

    Happy Birthday Kezlou

Gear box went on my car again yesterday - regular readers will remember it going (expensively) a few weeks ago. Probably needs replacing which will be painfully expensive. No sales money here either now, which is a shame when one of my sisters cruelly told me soultrader have fitflop mukluks for £69 and I [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] had £100 set aside for frittering. *sulks*

I am pottering using up fridge bits, and then I am going to sort through the c'mas day black bags and splitting the recycling out of them.

  • Afternoon everyone

Thanks asbo for doing the newbies :A

we have a bit of a thaw but it is treacherous looking as there is still thick ice underneath the wet stuff!

vanilla hope Rhys is ok and you get water on soon - might be worth phoning the water company as they have obligation to supply especially where there are children so they may give you bottled water.
Happy Birthday kezlou hope you have a great day!
welcome to all the newbies -not many of us follow the American flylady site as we find it over the top with emails etc - hope you find a mix that works for you.

Dusty thanks for the offer of help - you are a star:A big squishy (((hugs))) for you - I would be screamimg too - make them wash the kitchen floor everytime they come in and make a mess - they would soon tire of it - what about finding a cosy corner and doing some knitting - make sure you ban them from coming anywhere near you for at least an hour - banish them to their bedrooms - sponsored silence in return for a pudding of their choice - it must be a nightmare! How's the decorating going!

Hex oh no not again - was it repaired at a garage - could you get them to do anything under 'guarantee' i.e. their workmanship? Its not fair when you so want to treat yourself - hope something sorts itself for you and the motor (((hugs)))

get well wishes to all the poorlies

    have a good day everyone

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

  • Minor change of plan, kids can sort their own presents out. Ive just spent the past hour putting clothes back in my wardrobe after the pole broke and they all fell on the floor:mad:
Anyhows, list nearly done, just the ironing left which I will do this evening in front of the box. WMx2 TDx1 done. Just lunch and lean- to left. OH has the delightful job of rodding the drains to the cess pit. ( he will insist on quilted loo roll and it always backs up.

Normally we have a more detailed list of what to do each day and each day is a different room but pigpen is letting us recover from Christmas first.

This also makes it a good week to start Flying as you get started gently lol xx
