If I take back a phone to Argos will they refund? I know it is in their policy that they won't but the seals are still intact and it is an unwanted present. Are they more lenient at Christmas?

Oh well it was worth asking. Thanks anyway.0

Wrong, I took back a faulty mobile in August, that I had bought last December and was offered a refund, but actually just took a replacement phone. If you have not even opened it, it's worth a try, even if you only get a credit note.0

you've got nothing to lose, go and try it, if they can visably see it has not been open you would think they'd be ok , especially it being a xmas pressie etc...0

As barjam suggests, take it back and see, if the box is unopened, then you maybe lucky :beer:0 -
Too late now. I opened it as I thought they'd say no. Feeling cheesed off but I guess a reminder to OH not buy a phone if you aren't sure it's wanted. If only he listened in the first place. Can't see me keeping it long.0

Have a look on https://www.cex.co.uk to see how much you can sell it for.0

Worth a try on e bay but use the 'buy it now' option.
They often have free listing days,do a search first to find out what its going for,you may be surprised!never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0 -
Test it thoroughly to make sure it isn't faulty. For instance if you have only just opened it, are you sure it stays working for more than say a couple of hours on a full charge? That's just one of the hazards of a new phone that hasn't been tested.
I am not suggesting you purposely make faults but you need to give it a thorough test, if you do find a fault you're entitled to a refund.0
