Royal Mail Hoax Scam (involving PDS)

Loads of texts flying around the South Wales area plus it's all over facebook too apparently. :lipsrseal

I had a text from my OAP mother warning of this scam, & it's up to £400 now.

I have had a quick trawl through the web, and as well as the usual forums and message boards, I have found this year at least one MP, a Welsh Assembly Member, a couple of Neighbourhood Watch schemes and a newspaper on the island of Jersey all warning of this non-existent scam.

At least that Trading Standards office is on the ball, unlike the postal authorities on the island of Jersey who published this "warning" on their website a couple of days ago.

We were "warned" about this at a meeting at work yesterday. No-one believed me that I suspected it to be a hoax, so we now have it sent to all members of the organisation, and posters all over the office Now found the PayphonePlus link for them all

The Andover Advertiser ran this "warning" today. Guess what the paper's motto is? "first with the news".

Got a call from me mam that she got this email sent by the head of her council to every member of staff and she wanted to warn me of it.. bless her.. I let her know it was a hoax

this went round senior offices of a local council and a huge corperate company.
The reason I know?
I got it and all these various email addresses were on the massive chain link of where it had been on view for all to see. Has no one heard of google! Amazed no one checked it before sending it out en masse!

have a look at how many times its been posted on the site alone.
you can see how it is blindly regurgitated
