Why don't people check on the authenticity of this type of email before posting in forums and circulating to everyone in their address book.
Try hoaxslayer, snopes and phonepayplus uk websites and search for PDS postal scam.0 -
And when you try to point out to people that this "threat" does not exist, they come back with the old chestnut "it's always best to be warned about these things, in case it happens again". So how far do you take that? How about "next time you travel on a stagecoach, be very careful in case you get held up by a highwayman".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

In 1999 we played Elf Bowling long before the CHAVS found out what a PC was, and that was going to destroy the world.
Then in 2006 the CHAVS got PCs, and since then there has been all hell to pay0 -
Apparently the emails saying the emails are a hoax from 2005, are actually a hoax email from 2009 talking about the repeat hoax from 2007 and so the 2010 ones are just to let you know that the fake fake fake ones are fake. However the fake real 2010 ones are only really fake if you don't not dis-believe that the real fake real duplicated one isn't fake about it being really fake.
There, let that be an end to this silliness.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Chester Standard today on Pg3 warning of a postal scam that will cost you over £300 (£315) if you call the number to retrieve your 'undelivered package'...apparently several householders have already fallen victim. A local police inspector tipped them off about this (Police Inspector Phil Hodgson).
Idiots.

Our local neighbourhood team at the Met just emailed us this! The number was closed years ago!
