Looks like there are no LLU operators at your exchange, so you will be using BT equipment to deliver your broadband service.

You can of course use any ISP, they will simply lease the line off BT.

Sky Connect is one of those products and is generally accepted as be awful.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

so it looks as if im better off just going with something like bt option 2??? rather than with another isp if ther just use bt equipment anyway?

No, not at all. Almost any non-LLU ISP will give you better prices and certainly better service than BT. You are confusing BT Wholesale with BT Retail-different things. But you need some idea of what level of service you want. Someone like Plusnet can offer you a budget package with a 10GB cap for £12.99, (Plusnet Value) -if that is adequate for your needs.

ah i see what your saying now, ive just looked at plusnet 17.99 a month for 60gb i use the net most days and so will my other half. bt option was 20.99 for 40gb. other than that i aint looked at much else.

Using the net can mean you need 1GB a month or 100GB, it's what you do on the net that matters. If you want to download, stream from iPlayer, do online gaming etc, then 10GB a month will not be adequate. But if you want to just do 4 hours surfing and emailing a day, then it's fine.
Suggest you install something like NetMeter to monitor your actual usage before you decide.

If you can only get a 1 Mb connection then I would have thought that 60GB pm is overkill - you would need to be online for ~ 6 hrs every day to reach your limit - downloading virtually all the time at full rate.
