Cancelling Bulldog Broadband?

I want to cancel bulldog broadband, so i can go onto a telewest line, rang up bulldog, and they said i have to serve out the full 12 months contract which finishes in june, i need a excuse of cancelling their service, any ideas?
if i had known then what i know now

Not thinking of a Telewest phone line too? TW are one of the most expensive when it comes to phone service, their broadband is excellent though.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
