I selected the SPV C500 Orange & a FREE DELL PC (stockcode C500DELLORA)

Opted for Your plan 120 : £25 pm just because it was the cheapest deal.

This gives a £95.00 unit price on the phone

Add to your annual payment giving a total of £395

I'm told the phone will ebay for up to £200

So if you don't need the phone you could be getting this system for around £195

If you do need the phone and especially if one of the other call plans is more suitable to you then the deal gets better.

I'll leave it to others to judge whether or not it is a bargain as I'm sure for some it won't be.

I'm posting this in Grabbit it too as I can't see an offer end date Mods feel free to delete from one if you think the duplication is not necessary.

I would like people in the know on mobiles to give their opinion on this deal if they would as it is definately NOT my specialised field.

Scancom have this PC on a lot of their deals; makes a change from radar snoopers, or iPods earlier. I want a PDA; maybe soon ...
  • This was posted in another forum a couple of weeks ago - if you don't want a contract phone, it's not a good deal, but if, like me, you're already on a contract and ready for upgrade, it's ideal!

We basically got a new PC for £116 (including VAT and delivery) - that's accounting for the payment for the phone, but ignoring the line rental, which I pay anyway. We eBayed the phone for £144, but I could have got the phone for free from Orange, so I'm not counting that in the calculation.

The machine isn't too bad a spec for a cheapie - it needs more RAM and a CD or DVD writer before you start, really, but it's more than adequate for anyone who's not into gaming or heavy Video/picture editing.

    Hope this helps!
