Closing the mortgage to Open opportunities

Well i spent most of yesterday in the Kids toy box clearing out all the old toys, I have put all the good ones in a bag ready for the car boot sale, the other ones that were mainly broken went to the tip. I bought a bigger toy box (Flat pack which i am very proud to say i put together myself) which i got on 7 months interest free as at the moment all the toys are spilling out and looking very messy. It took around 3 hours to sort but in know it will take the kids about 5 mins to get it looking messy again.
I also bought some insulation to go under the floor boards in DD's Room as it gets very cold in the winter as its over the porch. I am also going to get some of that insulation tape for all the windows ready for the winter.
Pay day is on Thursday, We have already had a letter confirming how much our bonus is, A lot less than i thought but i am very thankful for anything as i know it will proberbly be my last bonus for a while. Im also getting a return to work bonus (after Maternity leave) which gets paid every month for 6 months after you return, this is my 3rd month so 3 more to go. I have been paying every bonus or extra money staight off the mortgage so i do not get used to having it.
Cant wait for Thursday when i can finally total up the OP pot and wages and send the monthly payment.Balance as at Dec 2010 £88,000Balance as at Oct 2013 £0Original MF date 01.05.2027 :mad:Morgage free as of 24/10/2013 (13.5 years early) :j0 -

:jPayday:j Favourite day of the month, Well actually it was yesterday but i was so busy at work that i did not get time to do my banking.
£1000 sent today, I have a fast pay system on my account but the limit is £1000 so thats all i could send today, It should hit the mortage later today.
I have around £200 more to send so i will send that tomorrow.
Im only £300 short of my Yearly target , Have lots to sell at the car boot and im going all out with the savings to hit that target.
Next target will be the 10% limit which if i hit it i will know i have achieved everything i can on the Mortgage.Balance as at Dec 2010 £88,000Balance as at Oct 2013 £0Original MF date 01.05.2027 :mad:Morgage free as of 24/10/2013 (13.5 years early) :j0 -
Figure for the month is £76,878.00. We are now half way through the year and its goind well. Need to phone the bank on Monday to find out how much of my 10% limit is left as now im getting close to it i dont want to go over as it could end up costing me more.
Was naughty yesterday, OH has been working weekends and my parents were away for the day so i ended up spending money as i was bored (both kids asleep and house clean)
Have got a day out planned to see my SIL so will be entertained all day, thank goodness as im fealing guitly enought for spending money that could have gone to the mortgage.Balance as at Dec 2010 £88,000Balance as at Oct 2013 £0Original MF date 01.05.2027 :mad:Morgage free as of 24/10/2013 (13.5 years early) :j0 -

Another great week, I booked a holiday which costs a total of £102 as we are going north to see the MIL so all i have to pay for is a hotel, Got a travel lodge in the sale, MIL is going to cook all meals so no food cost for the week, We are going to go to the beach and hopefully Alton towers if we can get some cheap tickets.
I spoke to my HR dept yesterday about last month's bonus and it turns out they calculated it wrong and im due another £100 so that pays for the holiday - Result
In 24 days time i will have been working with the same company for 10 years, Its amazing how time flys, When i started i was a green 25 year old just starting out in the company and now im a Mummy with 2 kids and running the dept - How did that happen!
Im still thinking about using the rest of the money in my ISA to pay a lump sum OP, This would take me straight up to my 10% Limit so i could spend the rest of the year building the savings back up.
I have the next 2 days off work which will be nice and a saving in petrol costs, although the weather does not look good so i will proberbly stay indoors - More cleaning i think is in order.Balance as at Dec 2010 £88,000Balance as at Oct 2013 £0Original MF date 01.05.2027 :mad:Morgage free as of 24/10/2013 (13.5 years early) :j0
