    Two NSD completed:j:j:j

Cant believe how hard it is though:mad:

I have to pass a parade of shops twice everyday when taking my son to Nursury and it is so easy so just pop in and buy Chocolate, Cakes, Magazines or the odd Scratchard:naughty:

Its almost as hard as giving up smoking!

If i can manage this i can honesty say i have no vices at all ;)

Hi Emsky, I'm enjoying your diary! Those NSDs can be tough to achieve, can't they, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Reading your post and how difficult it is to walk past shops without grabbing a chocolate bar made me realise I lied in my own post just now - I said I'd only bought one thing in the last few days that I didn't really need... but I suddenly remembered I bought a cup of coffee yesterday morning before starting work!

Keep up the good work - I'm so impressed how you've bought that mortgage down in 3 yrs already. I hope I can do as well.

Hi sepa, Thanks for your message, Im am lucky in a way as both myself and my other half are not into any expensive hobbies and the last time we went out for a meal or anywhere that costs money was in 2007, We prefer cosy nights in with the kids and our dog.

We are also not into fashion so only buy clothes if we really need them.

Your doing really well at getting your mortgage down as well, It is always slow at the start but once you get below a certain value it starts to fly.

I must admit that the first 5 years was very slow and i did not clear half as much (Original mortgate for 133k) which i am kicking myself now for not overpaying more from the start.

Today is my last official day off from work, Its been a great 9 months off and has really helped me focus on my goals to be mortgage free.

I could not ignore the petrol light anymore so had to get petrol yesterday and my weekly shop today so have only managed 3 NSD so far this week although i tend to hibernate at weekends so hopefully i can still make my target for this week.

I have bought enough to make packed lunch's next week and because the office is in the middle of an industrial estate with no shops nearby it will actually be easier to keep up the NSD's

Off to the dentist today - not looking forward to it but i need to get everything done now before my maternity exception expires and i have to start paying again.

Not sure what i am going to do tomorrow when the forums are down - I may have to resort to cleaning the house!

Well after a great 9 months off its finally time to go back to work:(

Im going to need this diary more than ever now to remind me why im working so hard, i have been told by friends that i should get a part time job so i can spend more time with the kids but im hoping that this short term sacrifice will have long term gain and as my parents are looking after them they are certainly not short of love. If i had to leave them with a nursury or childminders it would be a different story for sure.

In the end i managed 4 NSD's not bad for my first attempt, this week is going to prove a little difficult as i am away on a training course so will have to spend some money on dinner - I have thought ahead and am going use a voucher for a half price Mcd's so it wont be that expensive.

Friday is my first payday with full wages so cant wait to send more OP's to the mortgage :T

Good luck today, I am enjoying your diary. I think that you are right in getting your mortgage paid down as soon as you can, then you have many other opportunities. Lucky kids to spend lots of time with their grandparents.

Ok so the training course turned out to not include lunch, First day cost £5 eek. Second day i was wise to this so in the morning when i had breakfast at the hotel (included in the room price and can be claimed back through expenses) I eat everything in sight so by lunch time i was not really hungry and had a small side salad which cost £1.

Payday tomorrow so i shall work out at lunch time how much can go onto the Morgage.
