It's £480 from Orange website, but wondering if I can get it cheaper anywhere else

I want a pay as you go one, not a contract. BTW. How can you edit the main subject

Nah, it's a contract :( Still got a year on it. I am on a 24mth contract, any idea when I can call and ask them to lower it?

Orange via Quidco are doing £35 cashback of PAYG phones over £150, so if the iPhone is included in this offer (not sure if it is) it would be £445 (but they are out of stock at the moment).

Direct from Apple it's £499, so if you use Quidco (3%) and a cashback credit card (Amex 5%) or even a zero % credit card (to spread the cost), it might workout a little bit cheaper (not by much), but it would be unlocked.

Other option would be eBay (if you want to take a risk).

What phone do you have at the moment, a 3G(S) or something? You could probably ask Orange for an early upgrade (paying for the phone), and they should accept your old one as a trade for part of the cost)

Orange no longer offer early upgrades ! Only last 3 months of a contract.
Also the OP will need to cut their sim as Orange dont offer a mini sim !

    Oh, okay

Just out of curiosity, would cutting your original SIM card actually work as a micro SIM?
