Flutter fairies - Hawkins Bazaar

Has anyone bought one of these and successfully managed to do something with the fairy twine stuff.
I am really disappointed with this item, it cost £15 and it's fit for the dustbin.
I am going to return the item to the shop and say I'm not happy. Hopefully they will let me exchange it for something else if I can't have a refund.

I would take it back and ask for a refund. i once did that with a naff cupcake maker, took it back to argos a couple of years ago, assistant said ' what is the reason for return' i said ' item is carp and i want a refund, take it up with the manufacturers because i'm not paying 25 quid for this, and i got a refund!!0

I got those last year for the nieces, load of rubbish, but the video looks great. I was stupid and thought they somehow flew by theirseves.0

I bought some crap from there also which is already sitting in the dustbin after been played with about 30 minutes. Won't buy from there again!:heart2:I have a child with autism.:heart2:0

I would take it back, my dad used to run one of the Hawkins Bazaar shops and he warned customers of this product before they purchased them because he had had so many complaints so they are fully aware of the situation !0

Does the point of sale material misrepresent the product? That would be solid ground for complaint!0

Hawkins bazaar where I live was well and truly shut today, as in gone and not coming back. I did wonder how many people may have bought faulty Christmas presents and have no shop to return then too. I hope this is not the case for you.0

I bought it in the Sutton Coldfield branch on 15/12, there is also one in the Birmingham Bull Ring. I will go back either Tuesday or Wednesday.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020

A few years back HB opened up in our town. Shortly after Christmas it was gone. I know a lot of people were really annoyed.
I'm amused to note that this year it came back - same premises. I wonder how long it will stay this time.
It's a pretty dodgy wqay of operating, IMO, although I appreciate that perhaps the volume of sales might not cover the costs of a shop at other times of year.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
