Saints all the way but don't get to many matches anymore since most are on a Friday night and dd/ds are usually nodding off by 8pm on a Friday :( Used to take dd to every match in her baby saints snowsuit - her first match was a challenge cup round in the snow!

Thought you were. I don't get to many matches now either, more away ones than home as I now live in Bickerton, a teeny village near York. Plus Widnes smells ;)

I have lost my vavavoom (sp?). Only thing I have managed today is to put the aida for Wren on the hoop as I have decided to take it instead of the wolves to the holiday. Not a single stitch has been made. More progress hopefully achieved later in the week. Picture of the Wren:

Widnes still smells so you aint missing much - nearly did it today but think a tank would've struggled to get through their defence. Least it makes it a nice MSE year!

I've been to the carboot this morning and got an Anchor kit of a Japanese lady in green, this one http://cgi.ebay.com/COATS-Anchor-JAPANESE-LADY-GREEN-Cross-Stitch-Kit-/260696497585 for £3.50 and lots of nick nacks to store my sewing things in, such as pretty glass jars. Lot of them...

I don't have much planned for today. I was going to go shopping but I can't be bothered - there is nothing in particular i want and I don't want to waste precious stitching time.

I would be grateful for your views on something - I have started saving £2 coins again. Now last time i saved them, I didn't have anything in particular that I wanted? I was just saving them blind in a teramundi pot. This time, I am saving them in one of those count up pots and currently have collected £32. Now I could really do with putting that money in my bank account to help cover this month's expenses and I have yet to decide on that.

    But....
I was thinking of saving my £2 coins for something special - except i can't decide what....

I have narrowed it down to things that I simply could not justify buying because they are expensive. Here is the list

    1. Kindle / Kindle cover / light
    2. Thread box (complete set of dmc threads in lovely wooden thread box)
    3. Harry Potter Audio complete Harry Potter audio collection
    4. Holiday
    5. dvd recorder

    What would you buy ?

I was going to buy a kindle when I had enough coins but I still can't decide whether I like them or not and I think I would be able to save for one quite quickly whereas If I went for the thread box, I think I would really love that ? and would get more use out of it ?

Wow - that thread box is lovely

However - it comes with all the skeins but they aren't wound onto bobbins? I think I'd rather do *anything* else than wind 400+ skeins onto bobbins! :rotfl:And then, do the bobbins store neatly in the box? (i.e. are the drawers deep enough to store bobbins?).

Too many questions for me...buy a Kindle :D

What a bargain! I hate carboots but wanted to go to one today to see if I too could nab some stitchy bargains. When it came to it thought I couldn't be bothered :o
Can't seem to get Across Town to load properly shelly - must be an omen - telling me I shouldn't be spending.:D Liked the idea of 40p for skiens . Never mind - will try later. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction though :)

Hmmmm, seems to load ok for me. Did you get it to work? If not just google across town stitching and that might work better.
