Oh, one thing i noticed with the Atlantis HAED, no backstitching :j :rotfl:
That's the best thing about HAED's :rotfl::THello,
I'm new-ish to the cross stitching thing. I've got so many ideas running through my head I'm not entirely sure where to start. How do people prioritise? Is it best to do the big ones and then take a break to do and finish the little ones? Or the other way round? I just want to crack on and get it started!
Hello and welcome
I prioritise stitching which is going to become a gift for soemone and usually get them done first. Since last July I have completed gifts for my mum, MIL, best friend, brothers wedding, grans 80'th and sisters 30th so my HAED has taken a bit of a back seat
If I am doing a big project, then I will sometimes put it away for a bit and complete a smaller one. It would be quite disheartening for me to perhaps only complete one project every year
Write yourself a list of what you 'want' to do - note who they are for and how long you have got to complete them. That should make choosing easier. Sometimes cost may be an issue as well - are there some which you already have in kits, or do you need to buy fabric etc.
Alternatively - post a few of your faves on here and we will tell you which one to do next:rotfl::j

D'you know what ? I never knew this, been putting off starting my HAED because I was worried about the bs (silly me,should have had a closer look at the pic).
I'm getting excited now, might move it to the top of my To Do list. :T0 -

I've noticed that all your WIP's look pristine - how do you manage it ? No matter how often I wash my hands and the hoop the aida always gets mucky and creased. Where am I going wrong ?
Anyway I do hope we all have a satisfying day in our own ways.

My stitching in the frame tends to stay clean for the reasons mentioned by others here.Hello,

I did some more stitching on Mum's heirloom quilt roses today, here's the two pictures for you to see:

I'm only doing this in my lunch hours at the moment, so I'm making good progress considering.
No more on the Mr Men since I've been home from mum's.0 -
hi everyone, i did read all your posts during my lunch break but couldnt sign in. and now can't remember what i wanted to say! oh dear. everyone's work is looking brilliant, you're all putting me to shame! i'm glad we didnt have big issues over nudge-gate. i'm glad no-one's gone anywhere and we all feel loved and appreciated, as we all are i'm sure. and i'm happy as i've a job interview tomorow - redeployment post with council as facing the Big R... it's less hours but looks good so i'm nervous.
~ i'm not sure i like posting and running and i'm sure i'll be bugged by not remembering what it was i wanted to say!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. :D esp with out of print stuff.
I can't wait to see the progress on this oneI might do the 5 issues of WOXS for £5 and start it with this issue.
ERICS MUM, tellmeitsfriday, Elle1267 and my friend Rachel and me all having dental work this week! wow! not good!Forgot to say, I just got a phonecall about a job interview! It's only for 8 hours a week but that would let me see if I'm up to any 'proper' work at all (ESA people think I am) and I'll also have time to play at the cupcake business too!
..sorry, I know that's not stitchy news but I'm quite excited about the thought of spending time with people in the day and earning some pennies! :j
ooh, good luck!I've been home to Ireland to visit my new nephew who is very very cute and making me feel very broody.
oh he's so cute! my cousin gave birth yesterday at 12.29 weighing 9 pounds 9. (i think she's glad it was a Csection!) i'm waiting on pictures :jRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. i'm going to pretend today doesn't exist..... just spent FARRRR to much money on DS1 and DS2tobe stuff......**goes back to stick her head in the MSE sand.... well she would if she didn't still have to buy it for the sandpit.**
However on the plus side i picked up a cheapy thin dressing gown for £5 for the mat hospital in TK MAXX (bargainious). I'll never ever wear it again after as i love my thick fluffy ones too much.
WAHOOOOOO - off to see In the Night Garden tomorrow after my last appointment at the mat hospital.... am praying it doesn't throw up anything wrong or i'll have to beg them to let me go and return later onwonder if I'll meet my consultant before i leave??
sorry tisn't on a stitchy topic but i thought i'd chat 1st and pick up my stitching for 5 mins now.... until DH gets off his laptop and helps me sort the front room out.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Can you try and have him on Saturday please - then we can share a burpday0

Maria and teh Imps love your work, its beautiful. Chickywiggle love yours too and Good Luck at the maternity appointment.
I do hope I am not the one who started off the worrying about saying the wrong thing.
I know I asked a question then went quiet but I promise there is no sinister reason, just a dislike of butting in. I lurk here a lot but rarely post. I feel badly that it may have upset some of you.
BTW Thank YOu sweetcarer for the link.0 -

awww sorry.... as much as I'd love thatttt I haven't got a babysitter for saturdayyou can have an ALMOST burpday with him. Tis ok I am rubbish at remembering dates so he'll prob end up with his birthday on yours at some point.
When we took DS1 to the childrens A&E they asked me his date of birth and I said 21st October......they couldn't work out why he wasn't on the system......... till I remembered he was actually born on the 17th October and DH's is 21st!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored.
