Havn't posted for ages - fell off the wagon but got back on. I'm up to £205 so not far behind. I WILL keep on track & catch up this month
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Good morning pound savers!

sorry to say that I am using my money to get the car serviced and MOT'd today. I'm not too dissapointed as I have been good and saved my pound every day and will continue to do so.

It will be a big weight off my mind also having had the car done and therefore hopefully saving me more expense throughout the year!

    Keep it going people :D
    On a mission
  • I'm not doing too well! Only £127 saved so far... may have to dip into it at some point - hope I don't and that I can catch up!

Part of the Furniture Photogenic Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
well i've just broken into mine as i couldn't fit anymore in (£170... hmm should be £181).

Gonna keep the 50ps, £1, £2 and notes. Bank the change (when I go in next week to re-pay my loan) then withdraw the money and put with the notes etc. Now to get a new piggy bank lol.
Am gonna get one I can easily dip into now tho as it's August so christmas shopping has started and want the money easily accessable so I don't re-fill all my credit cards I am about to clear.

Yes it was nice to have the £365 at the beginning of the year this year but I'd rather start with no CC's to pay off.

    keep on track people.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Hi

I'm bailing out of this one folks. I reached the £365 target a few weeks ago :j

However I have dipped in to the pot in order to pay for new tyres on the car. I will continue my Standing order of £25 a week to my pot which should keep it ticking over ready for when I need to dip in again (probably this weekend for flights to Olympics). This thread has helped me get in to the habit of saving which is fantastic!

Good luck everyone on your quest and happy spending when you get there. :T

Hi everyone not been on for ages had to use mine in June for some family expenses, couldn't be helped.

however I am back on it. I give the money to a girl in work for me to keep as I can't be trusted :rotfl:

gave her £50 yesterday so that's me started will be towards getting the £365 and anything else I will use for xmas hopefully won't need to dip into it again.

    Hope everyone else doing well!!!

hi all, put my £1 in this morning. Must admit it's getting a struggle the nearer the end of the month. Put I am still on track ...... for now :D
  • I have had to give up unfortunately, I needed the money and I won't be able to build it back up before the end of the year. All is not lost on the savings front, I do have a regular savings account, but this challenge will have to go. However I will be back next year to give it another try!

Just thought I'd drop in as I have been sadly lacking in my contributions to the thread!

Anyway, have been adding my £1's, my shrapnel and any spare change that's laying around the house gets swooped up too! Also, have had a couple of very nice surprises in the last couple of months... we found two lots of cash in wallets/purses that we only use for holidays! We simply must have forgotten they were there! Doh! The bonus is that I'm already ahead of target and have beaten last years total. Should be a nice little Christmas Box for us.

Anyway, for those that are still going... well done, good luck and keep it up!

For those that aren't... never mind, well done for what you managed. You can always pick it up again when you're able to!

    Sean ;D
My wife is a DFW... I guess that means I'm along for the ride! :j
Taking part in the 2011 £365 (plus shrapnel) in 365 days challenge - total to date = £824 plus some shrapnel!
