Hey, I bought 15 bubble bars and some other ballistics because it's a great bargain and intend to use it for myself!
Don't judge people because they bought loads. I saved my Christmas-gift-money to spend them at Lush and for someone who uses their products a lot it was a great bargain of bubble bars prices just over a £1!
    What's unfair in that? :(

Exactly.. put it this way: 1 Lush bath a week is 52 bubble bars or bath melts, (maybe more if you have 2-3 Lush baths a week!) and if you find a favorite that is only around at Xmas you're bound to stock up to see you through the year. Speaking for myself, I bought a lot of Snow Fairy today as it's my fave shower gel to use and I can't wait 9 months to buy it again! Hopefully I now have enough to see me through the year :)

There will always be people that have eBay in mind unfortunately, but I hope no-one saw my basket today and thought that of me!
  • I was at the Lakeside Lush for opening today and one of the first things they said was that the Snow Fairy shower gel was not included in the offer. No idea why but that is what they said.:(

I still managed to get myself the Ballistic tin, Gingerbread house tin, candy cane box and some loose ballistics and bubble bars. Should have been just over £60 but got it all for just over £30. Wish i had of brought more now.

Inside the xmas boxes is a booklet with a 10% off coupon on the back. It says it's not valid in December, but I noticed some people mentioned using vouchers -- is this the voucher? I wonder if they'd take it against sale items?

No you cannot use the 10% vouchers at any time in December - never tried using them in Jan on sale stuff though but I think the small print on the offers say you can't. My vouchers were gift vouchers my daughter bought me for Christmas. She knows I get more for my money in the sale (so does my son) hence the fact daughter gave me Lush vouchers for Christmas and son gave me money to buy stuff in their sale.

    Hth :-)

Aaah, I read it as any Christmas product made before 1st October

    http://forum.lush.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=92772

Starting on 26th December 2010 (Boxing Day) and running until 3rd January 2011
50% off limited edition Christmas products, Christmas gifts and all year round gifts and products made before 1st October 2010. Only while stocks last.

    - The 50% off applies to ANY of our Christmas products and gifts

    - 50% off on ANY product made before the 1st October 2010 - yes this INCLUDES the perfumes!!

    - This offer is a stand-alone offer, so cannot be used in conjunction with 10% discount vouchers or staff discount

To me, that clearly reads as all Christmas products 50% off, and any normal product made before October is also 50% off.
  • Was the Snow Fairy made before October though? I currently have 2 bottles, one made in September and one in December. It is only the Christmas products that are made before October that are included in the sale. If your Snow Fairy was made in October or afterwards, they will still be full price.

I got a medium sized Snow Fairy from Westfield, Derby (all theirs were in the 50% sale) and the date it was made was 16/12/10 - so only 10 days old :D All the Christmas products were in the sale. I also had some lip scrub and both of these were made in November, daughter has Snow Fairy lip tint and that was made in November too. Surely all the bubble bars and bath bombs we bought. Also checked the 2 ballistics tins I bought - another November date.

Snow Fairy is a Christmas line (just google LUSH SNOW FAIRY CHRISTMAS and click on the Cached link). All the Christmas lines were 50% off - someone has posted the link where it was announced on the Lush forum so I won't bother reposting :-)

That's a bit rubbish about the Snow Fairy as I got 4 bottles from Guildford today and they were half price, they didn't have any massive bottles left but the next size down. I normally stock up for the coming year as I love that stuff so much but totally forgot this year and to have em for half price even better!

I spent about £45 between that and the bombs and a couple of sets and bubble bath bars so that should of all been about £90. About time i got myself a present :D

I also went to lush this morning and stocked up on things I like including 500g of snowcake soap (my favourite) and enough to last me till next Christmas. I am a self confessed lush addict and why should I not stock up on things that will not be on sale till next October? (especially With 50% off)
I went into a few other shops and did not get everything I wanted because other people had got their before me but that life.
  • Got to Leeds Lush at about 11 O'clock they had a count down on the window saying 9 days left of sale, there was still quite a bit of sale stock left(not for long though I'm sure I saw someone get a full block of snowcake).Managed to get a ballistic tin,a candy cane bubble bar for DD, a block of snow cake soap & a Christmas Candy Box (which DD promptly claimed all of except the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap:()

At least this year I managed to get some sale Lush Goodies:j
I missed out on the hatboxes last year as I have to work Boxing Day and have to dash down on my tea break instead of camping outside the shop so I think the 50% off sale is better

Awwww Snow Fairy fan! I bought 2 x 500g bottles, Hubby-Santa gave me another one and there was tiny one in a gift box I also got for Christmas. If anyone walks past me in 2011 it's Snow Fairy all the way :D

I didn't get the chance to rumble through to find products made before October 2010 as hubby was getting a bit intimidated by all the smells and basket carrying duties but I'm hoping to pop back in tomorrow or Tuesday :o

Hope everyone will get what they want tomorrow x
  • I bought two large sized bottles of Snow Fairy and got it for £5.00 each today so got it for half price :):) i presume becasue made before 1st oct i cant be bothered going to check though :)
