No Sound on Laptop

Uninstalled the soundmax drivers they came back on rebooting,
Still have sound out of headphones but not speakers,is it possible that the speakers could be knackered cause my son did used to blast music out of them.(you know what young lads are like )Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
Been having a google about toshiba laptops and some people have had similar problem.The headphone socket is connected to a switch which switches from speakers to headphones after a while the switch becomes worn and therefore does not switch from 1 to another.Suggested cures are to insert the headphones jack and wiggle it about and then remove it.Hope this helps.you could always buy some speakers and connect them to the headphone socket.0

I know what you are saying,when the problem arose i googled it and thats how i found that the soundmax drivers needed re installing.
