you need to use a brand new sim card. put it in your phone, register it by txt msg, then send another msg, keeping that same brand new sim in your phone, where you txt the sim's phone number to 865555

ie) new sim in phone.....register it by sending sending a txt stating your name, house number and postcode eg mrs m miller 27 NN2 9GH send that txt to 21500
then send another txt stating the actual number of the sim that you've got in your phone to 865555 eg txt 07751234567 to 865555

god sounds complicated when you have to write it all down, but its not, honest!!

Does it take a day for your original £2.50 to come through and then 14 days for the additional one to come through?

yep about 48 hrs for the registration 2.50 then 14 days for the other 2.50

i tried the method above, and now when i popped my sim in, it says sim card registration failed. So basically now the sim has been disconnected.

Oh no!! i was only going on what 56cheffy had said!! I've only tried it on one sim, but i havent had it back in the phone to see if its worked yet.....bummer!!

LOL, yeh lucky you,ve only tried it on one sim, as youve just lost 2.50! When you send the number to 865555, you are disconnecting the sim, which is why o2 give you the credit for upgrading. So basically you have disconnected ur sim!

Gave most of my free sim cards to my mate as I am on contract and:
1 got £30
1 got £20
3 got £15
and 1 got £5.
It made me very popular.
Can people do it more that once?
