If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

The first married Christmas I had I went to town and cooked the chicken (only 2 of us) with all the trimmings. I am still not sure where I went wrong but the time came to serve the chicken -- it wasn't cooked!! Our first Christmas Dinner was the trimmings and all the veg as the chicken was still cooking in the oven. 45 yeasr later I am still not allowed to forget it!

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Yup :D
