as title says due to be paid weds 29th but unsure if it will go in today as it says if there is bank holiday anywhere in UK on 29th it will go in earlier??
This is what i saw on Direct Gov website
From time to time, your normal payment day may fall on the same day as a bank holiday. This means you'll get your payment a few days earlier.
It doesn't matter whether you live in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. If there's a bank holiday anywhere in the United Kingdom, you'll still get your payment paid a few days earlier. But this won't happen for payments due on 4 January 2011, which is a bank holiday in Scotland.

im not sure but would think it will go in on its normal day.
but then again it seems like Child tax credit have messed up as our normal payday is Tuesdays but with that being Bank holiday it should have gone in today but it has not.0 -

For the payments to arrive in a bank on the 29th, the transactions should have been carried out today. If not I don't know, as all government offices are closed until the 30th. They get three days at Christmas not two.
From what I am told, all direct bank payment transactions for the 29th should have been done by now that is why some have already had their money today. Your bank may be slow and it will hit the account on the 29th.
As for giro payments, all payments were sent out a few days ago and made payable for today in respect of the 27th, 28th, 29th. Payments for the 30th & 31st have been posted today.0 -
Post offices are open on wednesday. All payments are automtaic so regardless if there closed or not they will still be sent.0
