orange contract problem

hi i have taken out 4 contracts with orange but on the same account
i never asked for direct debit and have been sent bills with non direct debit charges(£2.95)on each mobile number
i have rang orange cust services over seas ? and been told thaat is normal and is written into the contracts
MY PROBLEM?
the account is one and all mobiles are linked to account if i set a direct debit up they would take one payment(all mobile phones)but charge me 4 times for the privelage off not using direct debit??
i feel this is a real issue and illegal ?
i have paid the current bill under protest and wonder where i stand ???
all help and advice very thankfully received

    Hi Matt

Even though you have one account the non DD charges are per contract not per account standard proceedure I am afraid. Its not illegal or anything like that !

There is no "normal" so to speak. Companies have terms and conditions which they publish and you are free to accept when you sign on or reject.

If that's their's then so be it, but check the t&c.
