Lion king :D I cried lol it was so good
I loved Avenue Q too - double date with oh n his parents erm not so much fun but very funny (run has ended though)
39steps was good but wouldnt see it again
Lion King for the win :D

Theres a theatre board on here somewhere - with tips how to get cheaper tickets etc so perhaps you could get to see two instead of the one intended :D (some websites have offers on the meal and show thing - we actually found one where it would have cost us £10 for a meal and a show (think it was a decent one too with a decent restaurant as well) pays to show around :)

    the circllllleeeeee of liiiiiiiiiiiffffeeeeee
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
  • Thanks for the replies everyone - they've been a great help :D!

I will ask my loverly man his opinion on what he wants to see aswell. He is coming with, ofcourse.
Although I have a feeling it may not be Phantom because I tried to watch the DVD with him before and he kept singing over it! "The Phaaaaantom of the opera is DEEEEAD!"...

Those aren't even the words, ya big oaf! Ruining my Phantom DVD... I'll show him! By dragging him along as punishment :D. If he whines -I'll just retaliate by saying "My present, so no singing... OR ELSE I'll give all the gay theatre boys a shout, and they'll sort you out". He won't like that ;). Ha!
    Toto, I
    Don't think we're in
    Kansas anymore...

If you like 'The Wizard of Oz' you'll like 'Wicked!' - took my OH to see it for his 40th and we've been back a couple of times since then - it's fantastic!

Another vote here for 'Blood Brothers' too - it's DD's fav - she sees it every year - and I've seen it half-a-dozen times too. Makes you laugh, makes you cry - is an absolute classic!

    Hi

I can recommend Wicked. It's one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I don't particularly like the Wizard of Oz.

I took my OH for New Years Eve last year and we had a fab time. Also, if you are looking for somewhere to eat in the West End I can recommend Med's Kitchen. It's right at the top of Shaftesbury Avenue and has really really nice food with lovely staff.

Have fun whichever one you decide to see :j

    I've seen:

    Dirty Dancing
    Billy Elliott
    Jersey Boys
    Avenue Q
    Stomp
    Warhorse
    Oliver
    Wicked x 2

My favourite is Wicked definately, songs are amazing and if you sing along to songs, you'll be getting the cd and learning the songs.
Avenue Q was fantastic, sooooo funny.
Stomp was a family favourite, no words but hilarious and got audience involved too.
Oliver was good (rowan atkinson was great in it)
Billy is high up on my list too along with jersey boys.
Dirty dancing was my first show in london that i saw and even though i enjoyed it at the time, looking back its not the best (in my opinion).

    Have a great time.
