For Christmas he's whisking me away to London for a long weekend. He's paying for the flights, accomodation and theatre tickets to go and see a west end musical! I am sooooooooo sooooooo sooooooooo excited
:D:D and just thought i'd share the news with everybody. I feel spoiled!
It's a big deal for me because I've been acting since I were young and as long as I remember I've wanted to see a show in London and he's finally making that dream a reality.
For those who have been to see a show, what did you go and see and did you enjoy it? I'm guessing that you did but I'd love to hear some feedback - it's making me so excited as the time is coming nearer
.
We're not going away until Valentines day but it is my Christmas present. Double whammy that we're going to be in London for Val's day though

I have seen Grease, Starlight Express, Fame, Joseph and his technicolor dreamcoat and Saturday Night Fever in London and I loved them all. I would say Fame was probably my least favourite. I really really want to see Dirty Dancing now as it is supposed to be fab.
I am sure you will have a magical weekend when the time comes, have fun!0 -
It's 10 years since we saw a show in London. We went to see The Lion King in the West End. Had a brilliant time.0

Starlight Express - over ten years ago
The Lion King - fab, seen it twice
Wicked - excellent
We will rock you - I love Queen's music
I think it depends on your tastes really, I'm sure you'll have a fab time whatever you end up seeing.
Do let us know what you choose.0 -
i think the only show i saw was grease.
My dad used to work for the producer or director ( can never remember). so we were picked up by limo, got there a few hours before it started met all the cast and crew ( i think , long time ago now, ha ha. it was craig mclachlan and shane ritchie starring in it ), watched the show had an amazing time. got a bag full of goodies and then travelled home by limo again. felt like royalty ,loved it.0 -
I've seen Les Miserables three times and it is awesome.
Also seen Fame, Miss Saigon, Time, Cats (both myself and husband dozed off to this), Wicked (the kids loved), The woman in black, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Riverdance. We're off to see Legally Blonde in April, which I can't wait to see.
Each and every show was good in its own way... I love going to the theatre, then out for a meal. Last time we ate in the Hard Rock Cafe...fab!
Hope you have a lovely weekend, whatever you go and see, it will be special.

I love acting and singing and would quite happily see anything! I often sing songs from musicals around the house - wizard of oz included
"Lions and tigers and bears... Oh my!"
The one's I would most like to see are The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Oliver! and Wicked... Wouldn't mind seeing Joseph Tecni Colour or Les Miserables either.
I've seen The Sound of Music at the Edinburgh Play House and Cats at The Kings in Glasgow. So I kind of know what to expect, although I know that in London it will be bigger and better and just more amazing than ever
!
tanith - What steak house did you go to? Out of 10 how good was it... if it's better than TGI Friday's BBQ Ribs i'm there! BBQ Ribs are the dogs ballocks :rotfl:Toto, I

What a lovely present!
I have seen Jersey Boys, Dirty Dancing, Lion King, We will Rock You, Billy Elliott and Sister Act. They were all really good, I love the theatre.0 -
I seen Phantom 1 and 2 , loved ! but 2 was a bit of a disappointment, perhaps because 1 was so good.
Went to see Lion King was great show but expected to hear the uplifting music that elton john wrote for the film, there was none in it due to EJ not letting them use it
Seen calender girls - very light hearted comedy , worth a view.
We will rock you, was booked for me and to be honest didnt fancy it, was absolutely brill. The way its cast and music was ace, so i`m going to see it again, its on tour next year
Favourites - phantom 1 and we will rock you
Went on a jack the ripper walk which was free with a red bus tour (got tickets free from tesco for red bus) it was ace the guy who did it was an actor and he was frightening.....Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0
