Hi everyone. I am planning to transfer my 2 year old from cot to toddler bed and I thought this might be useful: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=24
Have any of you used it? Where could I buy the cheapest? Are there any alternatives? Many thanks everyone.

I would personally wait and see how you get on.
I thought about getting one, but first transferred my son to see how he got on, and to be honest he just likes to play in his room when he wakes up.
If you put some of the favourite toys in their room, you might find you don't need it.0 -
I read about a good alternative.
Buy a cheap clock - with plain white face and colour it in in two colours.
So the bulk of the clock is coloured in say blue but from 7am - 8am it is pink.
Tell her that if she wakes up and the hand is pointing at blue its not time to get up yet?0 -
Yes we had one - very good0

We had one for dd and it worked, but there are a couple of downsides:
You can only set it 12 hours in advance so if they got to bed at say 7pm and you want it to go off at 8am then you will need to go in there room and set it after 8pm. We kept forgetting!
It is actually quite noisy when it does go off - as in it gives out quite a loud click when the ears pop up - this tended to wake dd on the days she decided to have a bit of a sleep in.
The idea posted above sounds good though - as in two different colours on the clock face - and cheaper too!
