Programs Needing To Be Closed When Shutting Down

Try these, some are more technical than others:

Get "Ad-Aware" from https://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/, it is free and is fairly easy to run. It finds spyware and malware.

Click on the "Start" button, click on "Run" and type in "msconfig", this will open the "System Configuration Utility", click on the "StartUp" tab, this will tell you what loads every time you start Windows. You can de-select these processes to see if it speeds up your PC.

To see what is currently running on your machine, hold down "CTRL" + "SHIFT" key and then press "ESC", the Windows Task Manager will appear, click on the tab that says "processes", this is a bit technical but you will see all processes running. I Google some of the process names to find out information about each.

Try using http://www.kaspersky.com/, they have an online virus scanner and also provide free virus software.

Make sure you have an updated firewall, https://www.zonelabs.com or comodo provide these free.

Any problems, feel free to get in touch.

    Grippit.

are you talking about cookies or spyware?

If you have a clean system, it shouldn't pick up anything.

Another scanner you could try would be lavasoft ad-aware

and try https://www.ccleaner.com for a tidy up.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Are you running Norton Antivirus. Look here to see if it sorts out the ccapp problem:
