    Please don't judge him:o

I can see why you want to keep this away from him, but don't worry this old cow is just that. You made an honest mistake and she spouted a load of old tosh.

There is nothing she can do. Have a merry Christmas and forget it happened.

Anyway I collected the food and on returning to the car was approached by a clearly very irate woman. She asked where I had been and I explained. At that point she told me it was a private car park and I would be prosecuted for parking there.

I apologised and explained I wasn't aware of this.....

It certainly seems the antagonistic old crone was well rehearsed, but her tongue lashing probably had the desired effect, leaving you all shaken up. Lucky she didn't take one of our leaflet junkies to task, or there may have been some ecky-thumping thrown in the soup.:D

Just remember that verbal abuse is assault, if push comes to shove, which it won't. Enjoy telling the yarn over the xmas table and embellish it for good measure. This can be the catalyst for a good family legend if handled right and enough untruths used in the recipe.

Yes you must be used to this, tell me what lies does your invoices say again ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

My invoices are legal and do not contain or portend lies, something vistors here are, on occassion, coached in to avoid judgements.

Was this "community centre" connected to a church in any way? I had an unpleasant run in with one of the elderly 'volunteers' when I stopped in one of their car parks a couple of years ago. I hadn't even left the car.

If so, don't worry.. churchy people are a bit like that. So much for Christian love...

To be honest that just seemed to inflame the whole situation, at this point she became pretty abusive. She informed me that my registration details had been passed to both the traffic police, local police and the prosecution dept? and that I would receive a summons to court at which point she said I could "give my pathetic excuse to the judge".

Sounds like her conduct would be of far more interest to the police. ;)
  • Ah but they would only be interested if the OP was the one losing her rag and issuing threats.

Contrary to your beliefs NO person is coached in telling lies. We are not PPC's. In fact we often tell them the opposite.
