Phone your broadband provider and inform them you are moving house. They will arrange disconnection and reconnection on the same day if your line is active at the exchange.
So order my package online and say I'll supply the MAC code later? I can then ring them to let them know.
Is it ok to put the current telephone number in as I am aware these can be transferred?
For your info the package is to be with Sky so will include tv also.
Thank you for your help0 -
Phone SKY, explain what is happening and they will sort it out for you. If sky is not your current provider, they will need a MAC code from you.0

I do not have a current supplier, this is my first house.
However the current owners will have a broadband supplier, do I need their MAC code?0 -

Ah, sorry. Thought you were moving provider from rented to your new house.
No, you don't need their MAC code. You need to ask them not to disconnect their phone line but to disconnect their service otherwise it will cost you £125 to set it up again. Then phone sky.
Explain you're a new customer, etc and you will want their services, they will explain it all. Might be worth looking to see if you can get cashback for a sky dish.0 -

Thanks for your help, I'll try and make sure they do not disconnect it.0
