I have a problem with my central heating. The boiler will not stay on long enough to get the temperature up to what the room thermostat is set at. It just stops! The only way to get the boiler to fire up again is to pour hot water. Then the system will work fine and the boiler will come on and off as required by the thermostat.
But on occassions it will just repeat stopping!
Any ideas what is causing this?

I'd imagine the central heating pump in the boiler needs replacing.0
