Tax Credits haven't been paid on time

Hi I don't know if anyone can help? My usual TC day is a Thursday and the money usually actually hits my bank about 11pm the day before but they haven't paid it this week (great timing being Christmas week, snowed in and had a Tesco order booked). I have checked the HRMC website and it only had info for people whos payments fell on a bank holiday and obviously Thursday not falling on a bank holiday, I thought i'd get a payment as normal. I'm really now up the creek as far as Christmas is concerned now.

Maybe they are waiting until the last minute to pay out to 'capitalize' on any interest ? - labour used to pay out xmas time money a week early yet I am waiting for an 'early' payment on xmas eve - due date monday - I haven't brought any presents/food yet - so I will be the only one of the family to bring nothing but me if it doesn't show up until monday :(

I thought the tax credits would be in tomorrow if normal pay day was Monday....mine haven't gone in either but then I was expecting it tomorrow rather than today.

Saying that, son's DLA (due Tuesday), income support (Monday) and carers allowance (Monday) has gone in today and I was also expecting them tomorrow.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
