Hi Slm, welcome to the crew, as Boat said, you will be fine for next year if you stick at it. Dont do too much at a time unless you are absolutely sure it wont get you down, some of us have been doing it all for years now and worked our way up adding more sites on our way. Just do what you can manage and join in with the fun xx0

afternoon all
only just got here so no money making yet
elysia did you get the old picture thing from the telegraph deal?
has yours come yet?
mine came , and its rubbish , not what i expected at all
when i did it, i put in the postcode and it came up with the street that the in-laws live in , i thought perfect
its come and there's no streets on it just a general map of the area
the town [quite a large one] that they live in takes up about 3cm square
it could be a map of anywhere lol
good job it was nearly free !
boatgirl aww bless her that's a good night, long may it continue
slm6002 welcome
cha fab totals for your reviews , i would get it all done if you can there's been weather warning for more snow on its way depending on where you are
rufus enjoy your natter0 -
Chel - I ordered two and I'm disappointed too. I can't complain either as I deleted the emails.
It looks like a cheap photocopy. I'm really ashamed I said on here now. I'll keep my mouth shut in future.
I'm still giving them, as the people who they are for, quite like that sort of thing, framed up they do look a bit better, and even with the frame it still cost less than £9.
Rufus - you have a great afternoon with your friend.
Michelle - wow fab totals hun. I love they way you said MeadowHell - we have Merry Hell by us.I hope DS gets on Ok with his booster tomorrow. Have you got calpol in, just in case?
Slm - welcome to the thread hun. You take your time and read through the first couple of posts, and if you can get signed up to some of the sites. If you can ask someone on here for a referral that would be great. You've joined just in time. You have a headstart on all the people who join in January and you'll have got to grips with everything by then.
Have posted on book review on Chow, and written another. I think I'd best concentrate on toys though and get the bonus before they pull it. Which they might do if too many people take advantage.
ETA: the personalised book has been added to the 'Dress up and Make believe' section so no extra 50pI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

elysia i'm glad it's not just me lol
i was really disappointed as i thought it was such a good pressie
did yours survive the post? mine did, only just !
i'll probably still give it , but say happy christmas its a bit crap sorry lol
and my laptop is playing silly beggers and keeps crashing for no reason
so no surveys today i'm not risking it crashing 99% into one !0 -
Not your computer too? I hope you get it sorted. Mine has been sending spam emails without me again. I've been using my Hotmail account again, as my dad said it would be ok now. I don't think the problem is Hotmail though. I have trouble every time I go on Play.com, and I've used it twice recently, and every time my comp plays up afterwards, so I'll strip this back to factory settings tonight, and avoid Play like the plague.
Another review written for Chow - a toy one. So I have a book one to post in the morning. I could do two or more a day, but then I'll spend most of the time rating, and won't get surveys done. Swings and roundabouts I suppose - I'll stick to what pays the most.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Afternoon everyone, welcome slm x
Fab totals on the reviews, I'm averaging about £3 a day and still waiting for my £7. Going to try and reach £80 so it can pay off my car insurance next month, quite a high target but if I stick at it its totally achievable. Elysia, I've been putting two on a day too otherwise I'd be glued to chow and everything else would get neglected!
Boat girl, that product study sounds fab and you get to keep the bottles too... they cost enough as it is these days!!Making money for christmas 2012:santa2:0 -
Welcome to the club slm, glad to hear your enthusiatic as it can be a little slow to begin with but once you get going you will be amazed at how much extra you make during the year. We have made enough this year to pay for Christmas this year and birthdays, near enough all birthdays and Christmas next year excluding what me and hubby want as this will be decided closer to the time and even had enough to pay for our holiday. It really does add up especially if you keep an eye on the grabbit board to find the things you want at cheaper prices. Anything you make now will be great to pick up bits in the sales like wrapping paper, tags, stockings, decorations ect the items that cost a fortune this tome of year lol.
Sorry to hear the maps weren't very good, that is such a shame. I didn't end up ordering, I was kicking myself about it as it would have been perfect for my grandad but it seems that lots of people were unhappy with them. Can you search for the thread on here with the offer and contact them that way?
Been chasing up orders not received, refunds not received etc today, it seems to be the same every year just before Christmas.
Elysia my mum had that but it's malware that needs to be removed from your computer, not an account hack. If you download malware bytes from here http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html and run a quick scan it should pull up whatever it is on your computer and remove it safely. Unfortunately most antivirus softwares miss malware like this so it is vital you run this regularly (I use it once a week) to keep you malware free. If your having problems with play.com do not buy from there until you have removed all malware as you may well have your account details used without your consent. Hope you get it fixed hun.
Hope your computer sorts itself out Chel, my computer has bene playing up but hubby puts it down to our carp internet connection which disconnects several times an evening, apparantly its a busy time of the year and eveyone is online buying presents hence internet problems apparantly, took me ages to put our M&S christmas food order through as it kept crashing, don't want to start any surveys to be kicked off again
I had to laugh, when I went to bed the chutney jars hadn't 'popped' so thought I would have to reheat, steralise and start again but checked them this morning and three jars 'poppeed' this morning (one will have to be frozen or redone). Told hubby and he said 'Oh I wondered what that noise was, I thought a glass jar had broken in the kitchen' lol
Cor your insurance is cheap for a first time driver cornish! Back when I passed (many moons ago) I think mine was £65 a month but that was with my dad on the insurance too to bring it down. Can't wait to change insurance company, should be about half what I am paying this year.
Was going to make mince pies today but hubby has thrown a bomb in the kitchen and I am not clearing up his mess  so just catching up on coursework, three weeks behind againComping wishlist for 2017

Remind me not to take DS2 if I want to go shopping again. I am completely worn out telling him don't touch this, don't do that, and power marching round to take him to the loo 3 times while we were out. We only left the house at half ten and were back for 2:30 to pick up DS1. I *think* I have finished Christmas shopping now. Just food stuff to get. It's hard work. Everywhere was so busy, and someone has dinted my car door opening theirs into mine while I was in the shops. I hate how inconsiderate people get this time of year.
I hope I'm done and I don't need anything else. If I do, it might be from the 24 hour tesco, in the middle of the night, lol.
ETA - the 2 crowns I got today cheered me up when I got home. Yay.0 -
LOL Michelle - that's what my mum does. Mr T at 3am, she says its bliss.
Sorry to hear about the dent in the car - can it be mended with one of those suction things or will it need a paint job? Either way, it's more money. Grrr.
Cornish's insurance works out about the same as DD1's. I thought it would be less living in Cornwall rather than Birmingham. There was this program on TV this morning about it, and they are trying to bring costs down. I hope so, it's not fair. Saying that, it's always been high, I paid £1,000 for my first insurance and that was 23 years ago. I had a gold (a real gold colour, very bling) Renault 5. I loved it.
Savvy - thanks for the info. I have Malware bytes installed, but it can't find anything - so a re-install it is.I've saved all the important files this time thankgoodness.
So the spreadsheet should be ok.
If I'm not around later on, you know what I'm doing.

It was only a small ding, not even chipped the paint. It is just the principle. My car may be a mum mobile, but I keep it in good nick, and I don't drive daft in it. I also always supervise my kids so they don't do it to other people, and I had parked out the way a bit so we weren't near anyone. Always someone. I probably wouldn't have noticed if it weren't on the driver door.
There were so many people not concentrating, not in the right lane, not moving over to let people onto the motorway off the slip roads. I'm not claiming to be the worlds best driver, but I like to think I am considerate to others. Some just are distracted aren't they.
Hope you get those computer problems sorted Elysia. I think something on mine might be on the way out - probably over use. The keyboard and mouse stop working, so I have to get in the cupboard, unplug it all, plug it back in the back of the tower. Can be quite stressful when I am on the countdown answering Qs for Cha. :rotfl:Maybe I need to start saving some in case it needs a new bit in the New year.0
