• Another chow post. No reason for all of us not to get good results from there this month. I've already put two on myself today, and kicking myself a bit as I have copied a few book reviews over in November thinking they would never really make anything in a promo. That's me told. I want to aim for £75 at least this month from Chow, if that is not being too greedy. That would be a bit more than my best month ever.

Dear Community,

Today we are officially kicking off our latest Christmas Campaign! Until the 31st of December every user who will write 5 reviews in the Household Appliances, Games or Toys categories will be granted with £7!

The process is pretty simple:
The first step is to write 5 reviews in any of the mentioned categories (i.e. 5 Toys, or 5 Games, or 5 Household Appliances, or 3 Toys and 2 Games, or 2 Household Appliances and 3 Games etc.) After that, you will send an e-mail to the support team at ciaosuuk@microsoft.com stating your username as well as the corresponding reviews (if you do not inform the support team you will not receive the reward). And that’s it! Congratulations, you just won £7!

Moreover, the campaign participants will be displayed in the announcement centre. It’s your opportunity to get involved and make a difference in our community.
Three important things before starting writing your reviews: 1) reviews should be at least “Helpful” 2) the deadline for sending your e-mail to the support team is on January 6th 2012 and 3) Every user cannot be rewarded more than once.

For any questions, please contact the support team at ciaosuuk@microsoft.com

Good luck to all of you!

The Ciao team

Thanks for the Chow info Michelle, I'm really interested in this as I have LOADS of toy reviews on DooU that I could move across. I've never really got into Chow but now could be the perfect time.
I have a question - I'm still a white dot on Chow, will I still get the 50p for each toy review? Thanks to anyone who knows the answer :D

Yes, you still get 50p as long as you get a helpful or above rating. Go for it. Might as well.

My best tip is try and leave a little gap between posting so it looks less like you are a newbie just churning for the sake of it. That way you might get more money per review. Also put in the about me section you write on dy too, under the name .....

Hello all, had a pretty mixed day today, managed redeems on 4 different sites so that is £15 love to shop and £20 amazon which i'm thrilled with. Also really pleased with the chow promotion this month so really must get some reviews written.

OH had his op today which went well but he is in pain and has decided to quit smoking at the same time which i don't really think he will manage but we will see.

My eldest has turned into a complete brat over the last couple of weeks and tonight her behaviour has been ridiculous, she was put to bed at 5pm and would have stayed there but then OHs dad came to see him so she wa allowed down and she still misbehaved. She is still laid shouting as she expects me to go and cover her teddies up! We think that she is doing it as we usually give in and so we are trying to be firm but now i'm waiting for her to wake my youngest.

• I sympathis Emma. My Ds2 has been an absolute brat all week. I'm only just winning it today, but we have had a real battle. Some of it because he is shattered, some of it because he was a bit off it, some of it due to starting to get excited. All you can do is be firm, but I feel so mean at times. He is definitely worse than DS1.

Nice to hear about your redeems, and let's hope we all do well out of c this month. It will be a good boost for January income if we manage it.
