Tooti, so sorry to hear about your misfortune yesterday, there are some people who really don't care who they hurt. Don't let them get you down!
Got the kids at home today, but still lots to do. Had their school photos yesterday, only paid for the large one of each and am now scanning them so can take them to Asda and get the smaller ones done. I've got to go anyway so its not going to be a wasted trip. I bought a work suit last week, but the trousers have white flecks in them and the jacket has pink so got to take them back and try and change one or the other!
Hoping to finish my card writing later as well!
Still got a couple of presents to get, but am planning on that at the weekend. First card arrived yesterday, but I'm saving it until the tree goes up on Friday! Well I recognise the writing so I know who it is from!
Waiting on a chq coming from O2 for my recycled phone, £100 in 100 days is coming along nicely, and going to cash in some more s&s vouchers before Christmas I think so I can treat myself on Boxing Day!
Its all starting to come together!
Back is still hurting, have been to bed with a hot water bottle the last two nights and it has certainly eased it, but still twinging and sending pain down my leg.
Well washing is in, and first load will be going out shortly - its bright enough out there at the moment so gonna chance it!
Got a trip to the post office as well later, item that I had to open unpaid item dispute on has been paid for so going to get it in the post today too.
Hopefully will be a very productive day!

  • Tooti - sorry to hear about your purse :(. At the summer fayre I went to, our local police were handing out purse bells as an anti-theft device. I've got one attached to my purse now, it's just a little keyring with jingle bells on but it jingles quite loudly. It means I would hopefully hear if anyone tried to pinch it from my bag. They're definitely worth looking out for and as an added bonus, I sound quite festive whenever I'm shopping now.

Chel - Wow, what a lucky boy he is! Since it says what it is on the box, could you wrap it and then it wouldn't matter so much about hiding it. Or could you ask a family member to keep it at their house?

Foxy - a busy day ahead for you! Hope it all goes well :)

I'm off to do the Maxi vids now.

Tooti - I haven't been on since you posted yesterday - I'm sorry to hear about your purse. It's not so much the money ( well it is when it was for a present), but it's all the faff of cancelling and getting replacement cards isn't it? I've had mine stolen more than once. My mum has those Jingle bells on her purse, that Nicky mentioned. She got hers off the police too - maybe worth popping in and asking. ;)

I've read all the posts but I've forgotten who said what now.

    I can't believe it's the 1st tomorrow - where did November go?

Rufus - It was my mum's birthday yesterday, she absolutely loved the cushion. She was so thrilled, and whenever she looked at it, she noticed something new. :) Thanks so much.

Have been out with the family today. We had a lovely time. Only mooching around a few shops, and stopped at McDonalds for lunch, but it was great, there was no arguing or tormenting (DD1 and 2 they torment each other terribly) so we all had a lovely day. DD2 kept talking about her elf who came last year - he's due to arrive tomorrow,so I'm just planning some mischief to get up to. ;)

ETA: Oh no Bunbun - I've done that myself before. Glad you had a nice day too.

Elysia, nice to hear your Mum liked the cushion. It feels well strange when I think of something I made being used in someone else's house lol.

I decorated the Christmas tree this afternoon, I had to buy some more lights this morning. I tested them all, all working nicely, put them on the tree, decorated it, then went for the big switch on and they didn't work. Was well flipping mad. I couldn't find the white fuse one either to try to change it as I couldn't bend to reach properly so ended up having to take them all off disturbing all the decs I had hung on it. YD was in, she changed the fuse bulb but they still didnt work then I thought of pushing all the bulbs in in case any had come loose and one clicked so I tried them again and they worked so I left them switched on and re-draped them around the tree. Luckily it didnt disturb anything else too much and I soon had it looking lovely again. OH was well pleased with it when he came in.

I was going to meet my friend tomorrow but I have the council coming to fix me some grab rails in the bathroom so I will have to stay in after all. I am hoping she gets my message as I texted her but she is one of these that only switches her phone on when she needs to use it.

I had a few more surveys this afternoon, updated all my totals on my spread sheet and a few more sites near to redeeming but they are mostly ones that the surveys are few and far between so I am not holding my breathe on them redeeming soon.
