Morning all! Feel ok today! Dont know what made me feel so ill but a nights sleep worked although that was interruppted by the wind and rain! Horrible horrible day here! I am not leaving the house! Feel sorry for DS as we have tickets for Oakwood, a local theme park, and they expire on the 31st! Was hoping to take him this week so hoping the weather clears up!
OMG! Just noticed I have my new medal!!! Cant believe nobody noticed! Woohoo!
You lot did really well on Ebay! I only listed 3 things and 2 sold! Only about a tenner but better than nothing! That reminds me I have to go out to post them! Well thats the dragged through a hedge look for me this afternoon!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

Well done on the medal Legend, I dont know when I got mine lol, hadnt even noticed them before.
I had a couple of surveys on SN this morning, one I finished completely then it said I hadnt qualified so doubt I will get the money for that one. other one went through ok so should be 75p. I had an extra 30p on DY so just over the £1 for today.0 -
wel 2 out of 3 parcels came, hoping the other one (which was a top I bought on ebay) will come with the normal post? otherwise I'll be at the sorting office hunting it down saturday morning lol.
One of them was my superdrug order for OH christmas stocking (which is up the attic so I wont be able to tell if its full yet until first weekend in December - doh.) The other one was one of the toys, although it wasnt on the list of toys they sent. Barbie intercom telephones - i think they are like walkie talkies? but worth £30!!! my neice will LOVEEE these. I'm guessing theyve subbed the other barbie stuff (which was three barbies) for this, which tbh is better! hurrah.May Grocery Challenge -£216/4000 -
Well done on the surveys RUfus. Fourth Medal is at 2,000 posts. I wonder if I can get my last one before CHristmas - I doubt it.

CHel - well done on getting the tickets. Stone Roses - that takes me back. I was dd1's age when they were around. I feel old now.
Pablos - your blanket is going to look wonderful. I just know it. Please post a pic.
I'm glad your parcels arrived safely. I really must get into comping. I try, never win anything, and give up.
Legend - I hope you manage to get to the theme park this week.
Off to post office - see you later. xI :heartpuls M.S.E.

ahhh you have to stick at comping. My total wins for the year (and I had about 2 months break because we moved house) is coming up to £700! last year I had quite a few bigger ones - pushchair (which has actually come in very handy for when my nephew comes round!) vouchers, LOADS of makeup etc etc. Just waiting to win a new tv now lol
I just comp by end date - sort the comp board into comps that end tomorrow and enter that way, its alot easier to keep track of like that.
While I remember - does anyone else collect mcvities points/nintendo points/ disney points? By just going through what I already own (well not the biscuits..theyve long gone!) I already have enough points to swap for the lower point items - stickers, books etc. So might be worth signing up if you have alot of disney dvds or nintendo products or eat alot of biscuits! I just need 5 more mcvities points and I'll be able to get a mug...its taken a while, I dont particularly like biscuits and I'm much to cheap to buy mcvities usually lol.May Grocery Challenge -£216/4000 -
Morning everyone
Lovely, lovely start to half term, I didn't wake up until 8:30 - it's usually 6am on a work day. I'm so pleased I've got a week off as I feel exhausted! I hope to have a big push on Maxi, DooU and a few other sites this week so I can try and redeem in plenty of time before Christmas.
I also hope to get a few more Christmas presents bought and then make a start on the wrapping. I haven't got that much left to buy now, I'm just totally stuck on my two nephews and Father-in-law. My nephews are 5 and 7, they have so much and to be honest can be rather ungrateful so it's difficult to know what to get. I've asked their Mum but haven't heard anything back yet. My father-in-law is also impossible to buy for as he doesn't really have any hobbies, doesn't drink, and also doesn't have any ideas for what he wants!
I think I might just nag them daily until they give me at least one present idea!
My Mum and Dad are coming for a visit tomorow and I'm so excited! They're staying for a few days. Dad is going to help DH with decorating the kitchen and Mum is going to come shopping with me, we've got it all planned
. I'm going to buy everything I need to take into hospital when the time comes as I really should have my bag sorted soon just in case baby wants to arrive early, it feels like it's getting really close now!
Well done on the Ebay sales everyone, sounds like you're all doing really well.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -

Good morning everyone, Hope you're all well today and it's not too cold where you are.
I listed one item and it sold, and have upcycled another few items for vouchers so thats £25 vouchers sorted. Less mess in my house and quite a chunk off next years shopping already.
Had a nightmare with car tax, went to get documents yesterday to sort it today, couldn't find insurance document. Then I remembered they renewed it online so needed to print it, went online and they apparantly sent me a letter with a coe to access it. They hadn't sent me that letter. If I called them they would have to resend it via post and tax runs out this month. So decided to do it online, double checked insurance and mot was valid online and the comouter told me the mot I had pulled out was the ld one but there was a new one on file. Took about two minutes to do online in the end, if I had gone to the post office I would have been back and forth like a bloomin yoyo lol. I only remembered yesterday that they ask for documentation hehe.
Karonher - Elysia described upcyling to a T, taking items you no longer want and turning them into items of greater value or use, in my case it's swapping unused new items for new items I could do with. I tend to do this on swap groups on facebook or friends on facebook etc. I use it for items that wouldn't necessarily be worth my hassle on ebay due to fees etc. With Christmas around the corner it is brilliant. I imagine it wont b so great come march time nce peple have less to swap.
Pablos, I comp but it's a fulltime job and I'm on a break at the moment, just no time as I need money for Christmas at the moment and this thread is guaranteed income, last year I won a fair bit, I think this year it has gone downhill as there is 10x the amount of compers and less prizes. Saying that two bottles of wine arrived last week which are being added to Christmas gifts for family so I shouldn't moan lol. One of the best things we won was our fridge freezer worth £800! definitely a needed win.
Glad your feeling better Legend well done on your new medal.
Pablos - I collect the disney points but I haven't spent any yet, mainy because theres nothing of interest. Once they had new dvd/blu ray combos for necxt to nothing points butt they went quickly as it was posted on grabbit lol.
Nicky - have fun shopping hun, sounds like you will have a lovely time. SILs family is a bit 'ungrateful' when it comes to gifts, they expect alot and although they don't say anything you can tell by the looks she gives that she expected something a bit more substantial for the kids. This year we have gone all out but I feel we get the bad end of the deal as they have three kids and we have one. Oh well, families eh?
Elysia, when is the next medal awarded? is it something silly like 10,000 posts? Well done on the ebay sales
Well done on the reviews chel, I'm finding it hard to keep up, I don't know how you do it wonderwoman
Chel - Well done on those tickets, hope you have a fab time and even better they are almost money neutral now
You are right about Next items, even second hand stuff sells as good as new. In fact dd's current coat is gorgeous but it was last seasons and I wished I had bought it in every size bigger. Have been scouring ebay and yesterday someone listed one and I bid immediately. They must have thought I was a complete loon! I need to sort out the clothes n the cupboard and be ruthless, there's lots of dd's clothes that can go on, but as we will be trying for no2 soon I don't want to part with the nicer ones
Cross posted with you Rufus, hurray on the topcashback payment
