    Xmas Saver!
Well done everyone, hope your all relaxing for the evening now as you have all been working so hard.

Can I ask the advice of anyone with daughters around the age of 9 please? Hubby's neice is 9 this year but she loves the usual makeup, jewellery, the general things teens do. I won £100 to spend at a company called Maggie Angus but not sure what pieces of jewellery would appeal to her age range. If anyone could help the website is here http://www.maggieangus.com/categories/Maggie-Angus-Shop/

Caught up with bits and bobs, having a tea to soothe my throat, try viva and off to bed soon after xfactor xx

Hope you feel better soon, soz if sounds cheeky, but know its £100 win have you got a budget set out of that for your niece? Miss Hoodies 9, so was thinking of getting her to look and see what she'd have.

I had a quick flick throu and like the fruit bracelets. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hey all :)

Can't sleep, so thought I would pop on and say hi! Not done that great with the surveys today, managed a total of £3.60. My clicker arrived this morning for shop and scan so that's good and I found a few good sites for product testing, should have some free ice cream coming my way and I have a possibilty of getting a battery charger to test to, although not sure if I get to keep that. Found £32 club card vouchers in an old bag so I'm pleased with that as had completely forgotten that I had them.

Tried to join piney today, but it says that you can only join if you click through on a banner on a site and they won't tell you where the banners are so if anyone comes accross one can you give me a shout please?

Savvy - well done on the win, that's brilliant! I really should get back into entering comps, but I never seem to win anything and then I get fed up lol!
  • Another one here who cannot sleep at all.I did a bit on toluna and checked viva and my balance had gone up £2 without doing anything.

Don't know what is wrong with me. I don't even feel tired now but bet I am wrecked later.

    Morning all

I'm up early this morning, got up with OH as its our anniversary and he was going in to work. I wanted to be up in time to watch the Grand Prix anyway. I have done a £1 Viva this morning and a M* S*rv*y and managed to redeem a fiver on there. My C is up to £8 now, I havent got anymore beauty reviews to copy over now, I will be trying to get a few more on before the promotion ends whenever that is. If I don't then its still £8 more than I would have had this month.

Morning all, another really bad night, OH has been in lots of pain with the hernia so he stayed downstairs but every oise woke me up, the cat decided to sleep on the edge of the bed right at my feet so she got kicked lol!! Emily then woke up at 5.55am don't know what is wrong with her she just suddenly wants to get up really early and she is full of life so she obviously didn't need anymore sleep.

Just going to have a look for some surveys, Sophie stayed at her aunties last night and we don't have to pick her up until after dinner so I am gonna veg for a bit with the laptop before I attempt to get motivated!!

Rufus - happy anniversary - How many years??

Morning all, managed to get some items listed on ebay yesterday and hopefully will be able to get some more on later. Had quite a productive day yesterday, got the ironing done and got a chest of drawers for dd room that a friend was giving away so more storage space at no cost!
OH is off for a couple of days next week whilst the contractors are in so he has a list of jobs to do including regrouting the bathroom and painting DD room so hopefully the house will be all straight again and then we can really start looking forward to Christmas! I've got a more pressing engagement that I need your help with - my bf is 40 in 3 weeks and I have decided to do her a box of 40 presents. ANY ideas gratefully received, I have bought her a charm bracelet similar to Pandora with a 40 charm on it amongst others, from ebay and a couple of gimmicky items, but now want to try and get the rest at a small cost, I know I read somewhere that someone did this last year for a friend, but any recent ideas would be appreciated. I am going to get the free t shirt with her pic and name on it from Vista as I had an email with this on it yesterday, and I probably have about 8 gifts already, so only 32 to go lol!

    Thanks!

Hi Foxy, do you have a Wilkinson or Savers near you? They have lots of little bits and pieces you could add at silly prices like face masks, soap, bath sponges, that kind of thing, you could probably get 10 or more for about a fiver if you have a look round. When I did one of these for OH's 30th I bought him a few bits to do with the year he was born, so I bought a Beano album, and the single that was number one when he was born, plus a set of coins. The last one might be a bit more expensive but the first two were not too bad. I bought these off Ebay and just did a search for the year he was born and then sifted through the things that came up.

Foxy - Rufus's Suggestions are great. I'm doing a Survival Kit Hamper for my sisters 40th in June. I'll see if I can find the link. Be back in a mo. Here's the Link: http://susanscards.blogspot.com/2010/02/deborahs-40th-survival-kit.html

    It's things like:
a paper clip - to hold things together
a marble - for when you lose yours
a peice of string - so you can tie up loose ends
    a penny - so you're never pennyless
something with a smile on (I was thinking of one of those car airfresheners) - so you always see a friendly face.
Eraser - so you can wipe away life's mistakes.
Smarties - you remind you how clever you are
A plaster - for when things get rough
Paracetamol - to ease away your aches and pains

I hope this gives you a few ideas. Perhaps you could do one of these, and then give her the other presents separately?

Rufus - Happy 12th Anniversary. :happyhear :happyhear I'm surprised you didn't get a penny from the pf fund. I gace you two E's hoping to get you some money. Instead of giving up, why not write some beauty reviews for Chow, and paste them over to DoU? One a day - that's another £3 easy, plus then the money for recycling to dooU. :D Go on - you can do it. :)

Dj, and Michelle - It just have been catching. I logged off here about 2.30 in the end, but still lay there wide awake for hours. I hope you managed to get a lie in.
    I :heartpuls M.S.E.
