  • I've just got back in, been out all morning.

Hope everyone is having a good one. I've had a nice relaxing swim with a friend, and so tempted to get a membership at her gym and go with her. It was so nice. It's cheaper now than the last time I asked her.

Just logged onto DY and have a crown from a review from the other week, so now at 18 of those and about £25 there.

I'm just going to make some lunch for me and DS2 and then see what is about today.

Good afternoon everyone. I don't usually get to visit you in the afternoons but I have just been sent home from work :(. I was in the middle of teaching maths and suddenly got a pain going across the bottom of my bump. I sat down and tried to rest it but it didn't go so I sent for the lovely office lady. She practically ran to my class! She took one look at me and said I looked awful, so sent me home with the order to rest and get my feet up. The pain has gone now but it really worried me. Baby is kicking about plenty though so I think I just need to start slowing down a bit and not trying to do everything still. DH has now said I'm not allowed to go to work tomorrow :o.

Anyway, I thought I might as well get some money making done since I can't do much else because of my enforced rest. I'm going to have a T'looney session in a bit and might see if I can get one of my reviews onto DooU. Oh, my winning bidder has paid for the Halloween costume now (£10.50 :T) I can get that wrapped up ready for posting tomorrow. I don't think I should push it by walking to the post office today.

Savvy - I agree with the comments about refusing the refund. How cheeky of them to open it, use it and then demand a refund! Also, I'd make sure you keep any messages from them in case they try to make out the item was damaged. Does the initial message just say they changed their mind?
Don't worry about getting a negative feedback, some buyers do use that to basically blackmail the seller into things. I've had a couple of negatives in the last few months as I wouldn't give in to buyers who made demands - one of whom hadn't paid for the item despite numerous messages and then sent me messages demanding to know where the item was! I politely said that it would be sent when he had paid for it and then he left me a negative! I contacted Ebay and they refused to remove the negative, despite me showing he hadn't paid for the item. Anyway, my point is that the negatives haven't harmed my selling at all. You can put a little comment under a negative rate explaining why it is unfair, which I have done. Most people who use Ebay know that there are some right weirdos out there! I had a man last year who bought a DVD. He then started to send me messages about what colour hair did I have, did I have a boyfriend etc! He knew nothing about me other than my first name, I could have been a 90 year old great-granny for all he knew! Again, Ebay were useless and said they couldn't do anything.

Nicky - how are you??? I wondered if it was because of your glucose check when I saw you had posted. No news there I take it? So we presume everything is ok there - we hope.

Do you think you ought to go get everything checked out just incase. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Well done on the sale. That was good a good price for a halloween costume.

You take it easy for the rest of the day if you don't go to the doc's. Don't you lift a muscle!!!

Thanks Legend and Elysa - the only muscles I'm using are in my fingers as I type :) I 'accidentally' just did a bit of online Christmas shopping. I was only going to browse a site I saw mentioned on Grabbit, called something like 'everything £5', but then suddenly I had bought 2 crochet scarves, a bag and a pair of boots before I knew what my fingers were doing ;). The boots are for me but the scarves and bag are presents. Even better, they accept paypal so it was all money neutral!
I could get used to being at home, I get so much done and I've not even left my seat :rotfl:

That's what we like to hear Nicky. I love armchair shopping and finding a bargain is even nicer, if you don't have to leave home to do it. ;)

I daren't look at that site. It would be lethal. Saying that, I'm sat here watching QVC. :rotfl:

Glad to hear you didnt back down with the ebay buyer savvy :D. Let us know if they reply. And if it comes to it I would rather have a negative and let them go to all the hassle of opening a dispute, waiting for a response, sending item back tracked, imputting tracking details etc not forgetting having to pay for the return postage out of their own pocket than give them a refund when it was uncalled for! I just hate people that take advantage!

Got a cupcake order for tonight so just having a few minutes downtime after a very very very busy day at work before getting to it!

    S$S £1.10
    Piney £3.00

  • Hope everythings ok now Nicky, definitley put those feet up (or not, can't remember if they advise against that) and have some well earnt rest and relaxation, sounds like you have some lovely bargains there. I try to stay away from grabbit. I now have a space issue with regards to Christmas presents. I sorted through the cupboards to make space but thanks to the Tesco grabbit there is no space for items still in the back of the car and in the bedroom in full view of little eyes lol.

Thanks Giggles, I'm often a bit of a soft touch but have one negative from a a previous buyer that decided she wanted a refund and to keep the item. I stood my ground and ebay ruled no one at fault despite the evidence provided and she left a negative. It hasn't affected people buying as I stuck to the facts in my response. I haven't heard back from them, but they did email fairly late in the evening yesterday so I'm sure I will hear something over the next few days.

Ooh cupcakes nom nom! have a good rest hun, any chance of piccies? I do miss the photo's of everyones baking and crafty makes :)

Well done on the money making Elysia, you have been a busy bee today!

Had a good day money making today. Redeemed for £10 off one of the panels I am on, the received £20 of s&s points from their panel and 1600 ponts from weekly scanning/receipt and then received a £20 amazon voucher from another panel I am on. I also managed £2.55 on Viva :D

Also been in a very Christmassy mood today too, have chosen dd's Christmas outfit, all in without shoes is circa £150!?! But I have swapped unwanted items for £100 vouchers and found a discount code so will only cost £35. Now if only it was that simple for me and hubby's Christmas clothes!

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Well cupcakes all made :D yay! Tried making chocolate sponges and chocolate icing for the first time tonight and was quite pleased. I do have a pic I could upload. Is there any easier way to do it than via photobucket? Im sure I read somewhere you can just copy straight into the forum now? Does anyone know if thats right?
