  • Oh dear I am getting so confused by how many days it is to christmas hahaha my app says 99 days which is 100 sleeps!

But someone I know on facebook of MSE put that it was 100 days 2 days ago when my app said 101! Most websites seemed to agree with my app like http://www.yourchristmascountdown.co.uk/ but then there was one that said same as her app ( a day less). I ended up getting my calendar out and I think my app was right..... suppose it depends if you are counting days till christmas (which you could count as being christmas eve), days to christmas day, or sleeps till christmas hahaha

Not managed to go through all the posts (will do over the weekend) but just wanted to say that I dont think we will be seeing anymore shopping promos :( Stuart private messaged me and said that his role of looking after facebook and reviews is being 'phased out' as shopping are taking a different strategy! That site was a great money making, esp in run up to christmas so I am definately going to miss it!

Hopefully going to fit in one last car boot this sunday (weather permitting) before the car booting season is well and truely finished. Not got as much stuff as usual so will be happy with £50 to stick in the christmas pot. Need to order my jam making supplies soon and start making something each weekend ready for christmas gifts! Spent some of my makings this week on 3 digital photo frames from Tesco for £10 each, will make great gifts for my mum, dad and grandad once loaded with some family pics! Evening considering going back and getting one for my brother and putting pics of him and his gf on it as ther are hoping to have their house ready to move into just before christmas so will be a nice xmas gift for them both for their new home. Only thing is I was so excited about the buys that I told my brother about them hahaha he is male though so he will have probably forgotten!

Anyone else starting thinking about the boots sale yet?! hahaha

Well I am off to my physio assessment, a little nervous because I am not sure what to expect!
  • Afternoon everyone. A stupidly busy day here again already. In between doing the 2 school runs I've had to go to the factory retail outlet in the next town to get a new rain coat for DS2, wellies for both kids, and black PE plimsolls for DS1. I also got a thermal top for both of them in anticipation of snow, and some wash to use with my waterproof coat which is looking a bit past it. I'm definitely getting ready for winter.

AS well as that, the post office to send 2 parcels, and the Mr T for some tasty pack up bits to hide ready for making packed lunch for DS1 next week, and some more fruit.

I wish the kids would stop growing as that was another £100 on stuff for them, as well as £20 at Mr T. Real money goes nowhere.

I've done nothing towards money making so far. Chow appears to be stuck again. My balance hasn't changed in a few days, and I was hoping to see the prem. fund today. DY is so quiet too, and very few surveys appearing. I'm hoping it picks up a bit.

Whoops we had nearly gone off the front page then lol

I have done some surveys at last, one from YG, one from NV and one from VO. MY EB item has a bid on but only £1.32 lol, lady wants to come and pick it up to save postage. She will have to make it tomorrow, (it finishes tonight) as I am out on Sunday.

Such a shame if that's the end of the promos for shopping.com :(. They have been one of my biggest earners and I was hoping for another promo before Christmas. It was nice while it lasted though.

We've been thinking of going to a car boot soon, we have a big one all year round at the local footie stadium. DH wants to go to advertise himself as a driving instructor, it's a very cheap way of advertising to loads of people as he would get charged the same as the sellers but he'd be advertising not selling. I'd like to go to look for some bargains :D

Those digital photo frames sound excellent, don't suppose you have a link to them online do you? They'd be ideal for DH's parents and I could load them with photos of all their Grandchildren. Was it a special limited time price or is that the normal price, just so I know whether to rush out to get them :) Thanks!

I forgot to say - yesterday afternoon I wrapped all of her Christmas pressies up. :A I don't want a repeat of last year when I was still wrapping on Christmas Eve despite being organised beforehand.

I've been thinking I might start wrapping soon. Last year I deliberately left it until a couple of weeks before Christmas, so I'd still feel Christmassy, but then various things happened every time I tried to wrap and I still ended up stressing and doing most of it on Christmas Eve! I can't do that this year as Christmas Eve is 3 days before the baby is due, so I will either be ENORMOUS or have a newborn baby taking up all my time :rotfl:. I am determind to have all Christmas presents bought and wrapped by 1st December so I can chill out and prepare for the mayhem of another child!

Legend - thanks for that, I'll write the name down and see if I can nip to Tesco tomorrow :)

    Hi everyone.

Michelle - there must have been some kind of vibes going on - I bought DD2 some boots today and a new woolly hat. So cute - it's one of those panda ones with the pompoms as ears :D I was checking chow first thing too. I thought it was earlier than this last month. ;)

Legend - No photoframes in ours :( - but I did buy some fridge magnet ones (the same just smaller) off the grabbit in the summer. :) I didn't bother complaining to PC @ Mr T last week, but I'm definitely going to this week - they're getting worse.

Rufus - well done on the surveys - I've done a few today myself - but they are definitely getting few and far between. I just managed to get £2 off viva - not a lot, but it's mounting up. :)

Giggles - I'm so sad that Shop.com is phasing the reviews out. Their promotions were fab.

Nicky - just wrap a couple a day. They will be finished before you know it. I must be in the mood - I did some of DD's birthday ones (for January today) :D

Claire - I hope you had a good afternoon.

Everyone else - I hope you're all ok.

Ooh forgot to say - Savvy, I wouldn't pay £39.99 for the TP official case. It fits nicely; but the front cover (where you need the protection) is a bit flimsy. Just buy a cheap one that will fit it. ;) The touchstone is great though :)

  • Hiya ladies, glad to hear we are all finding bargains and trying hard with the moneymaking.

Done a few viva today and been getting up to date with odd jobs that still have been outstanding. Updated my Christmas list, not too much left to get, had lots of vouchers arrive so do need to count them up and see what we are working with.

Those photoframes are good aren't they, bought one for hubby last year it was a freeview digital photo frame. Was brilliant but we are in the 2% of the population that cant get freeview lol. Was going to get one for my grandad this year but as it plugs in it might cost a fortune in electric.

Elysia, pc world, currrys and dixons have ripped everyone off charging full price for the accessories, they had the case at £19.99 and the touchstone at £32 before they had new stock and started selling them in bundles. They only upped the price of the accessories to make the bundle seem like the same deal, very sneaky. Gave up the hunt for accessories when that happened. Have you used yours yet, are they good?

I'm on it now Savvy - it's brilliant. Sorry legend.:-( Well worth the 230 I paid for the bundle, but never would have had one at 400 plus. If you can get a cheap touchstone, get it, it's brilliant too. :-)
