            Elysia - I'll be glad to help you on Folksy when you get started although there is nothing to it really once you get started, it is much easier than Ebay. I have made £83 in sales so far and am well pleased. I have a spread sheet where I have added all my expenses like for fabrics etc and postage, anything I have bought and then I have another page on the spread sheet for my sales. At the moment I am still running at a loss as there are a lot of things I had to buy, but another couple of nice sales and I might end up with a small profit.
 Try to keep all receipts from now on and if you bought stuff from Ebay you can go back in and view order and print it out or even go through Paypal and see if you can print something from there. Try to get as many as you can together as once you open your shop you should let the Tax people know and they might ask for them sometime in the future.0

            Elysia - just saw that you stuck up for me re: unoriginal woman. :A I hope you don't get any grief for that hon. I do appreciate that though. Not all in my head is it.
 Just been through my DY reviews. I have 10 I can copy across to chow for the new promotion.
 Listening to you guys talk about money I realise how lucky I am. My lovely DH lets me organise it how I want, doesn't moan when I spend anything, and never wants anything for himself, but he can spend a fortune on his car. However, he wouldn't dream of buying anything without asking me whether we could afford it. You just kind of assume everyone can be like you, but not always eh?0

            I feel I have to defend my OH and may have been unfair:rotfl: the things he has bought are food and nothing very exciting. he never buys anything for himself and doesn't complain when I do - not that I do! he just expects the money to be there and doesn't check or tell me

            My other half is like that Michelle - hardly buys a thing for himself and never goes out, don't drink, don't smoke, he works hard so I try and treat him with things as a when I can. He even does the ironing and cleaning when I get bogged down on the computer. I don't half moan at him, but he's wonderful really.
 Bunbun - try not too stress too much, that's not too bad. Ooh that's just up the road. I'm in C Wood.

            The theme for this month is SET YOUR OWN CHALLENGE.
 We are continuing with the DooU challenge that we set ourselves – here’s a reminder:
 Elysia2003 15 reviews
 Rufus 25 reviews
 Clairylulu 25 reviews
 Michelle 35 reviews
 Pinkfluffybabe 15 reviews
 Nickybo 15 reviews
 Cornishchick 15 reviews. (If I forgot anyone please let me know).
 Legend and Savvy have committed to doing the £2.50 a day challenge instead, so if you feel this works better for you, do this instead.
 Michelle – has kindly come up with a challenge this month, following the theme. This is a two pronged attack.
 1. Prioritise – Do a bit of an audit. See what pays the best and concentrate on doing the very best you can on those sites. T being a prime example – none of us make the best use of this one.
 2. Remember not to forget to look after the pennies, at the expense of earning some. (I know I’m guilty of this)
 Set yourself the challenge to do this regularly.
 Ideas include - Take time out from surveys etc that pay a few pennies, and spend the same time writing a shopping list, or using a comparison site, which could save you £’s.
 Or set a grocery budget and stick to it religiously – any money left over at the end of the month goes into your pot.
 Or even set a limited amount of money to entertain the kids over the hols. Do not go over it, however tempting. The proviso that any money left over goes in the pot too, plus it has the benefit that you’re not going on a wild spending spree in the first place.
 This is your challenge to do with how you see fit. Please take the oath. I pledge to ................................................ You are more likely to succeed if you have it in writing.
 Thanks to Michelle for an excellent couple of suggestions. Who would you like to pick for next month hun?
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 I would like to alter my original review target to 25 now. I’m really pleased how well I’ve done. Thanks for the challenge guys. J
 I pledge to menu plan, and write a shopping list to keep within my budget. I also plan to spend no more than £10 a week keeping DD2 amused during the hols. She goes to a playscheme 4 days this week and next, at a cost of £1 per session. It should be easy while she’s on this, but it’s the three weeks following that should be a struggle.
 Ooh sorry for the size of the text - I typed this into Word, and pasted it over!I :heartpuls M.S.E. Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage! Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage! 0 0
            Good challenge this month Elysia
 I am doing well on the DY one, I have done 9/25 so far so on a par to get that done. I am also going to aim to get another voucher claimed on T so will try to maximise this and do some opinions on it as well as normal stuff.
 We already write out a shopping list, have been doing it for the monthly shop for over a year now and it really does save money. We are lucky and have two chest freezers in our cellar and plenty of storage space so when we shop for the month we really mean the month, only odd things we buy are perishables like milk, bread, that kind of thing. Less likely to impulse buy that way. My biggest payout at the moment is giving YD pocket money. She doesnt ask for it every day but its straining my money quite a bit. She has been applying for jobs for the holdiay and weekends but hasnt found anything.
 I think my Ebay stuff will run out this month so I will have to have a think about what I can do to get a bit extra regular money coming back in again for next month.
 By the way, I am going back to edit my earlier post lol, just in case he comes on and reads it xx0
            mum2one - People have been get cancellations for the last few days over on the grabbit board, still haven't had my email yet but I know it's coming! Was worth a try though.
 Elysia - Great challenges, I'm going to start again on the reviews challenge and aim for 28, that's almost 1 a day! Also going to try and write a few for the chow campaign
 I pledge to start meal planning from next week. Fed up with the food wastage!!
 Oh and viva have credited the 2 surveys from over the weekend that didnt credit straight away Making money for christmas 2012:santa2:0 Making money for christmas 2012:santa2:0
            My viva survey has also credited
 Great challenges, I love the 1st of the month and feel all inspired and raring to go!
 I too pledge to meal plan properly and write a shopping list that I stick to. This is something I have been meaning to do for a while but never find the time. I know I should as I'm sure it will save me a fair bit of money.
 I also pledge to have a real push on T'Looney this month. I'm at 12,000 points already so I have a bit of a head start. If I can get to a redeem by September then it should hopefully arrive before Christmas, what do you reckon?
 Also, I will stick with my 15 review target as I really don't think I'll have time for more than that, especially with my T'looney push.
 We're taking DS to Chester Zoo tomorrow, I can't wait. We took him a few years ago but he'll get so much more out of it now. He loves animals but they also have big model dinosaurs there over the holidays. hHe saw the advert on TV and asked if we could all go Making money for Christmas 2012!0 Making money for Christmas 2012!0
            New swag code, and I think it is a mega code day today too, so I'll keep looking and posting.
