Well done on the crown Michelle, something I have never got before lol.

I put another review on this morning so up to 7/25 now. Nothing in my inbox worth shouting about this evening.

I am still awake, feel really shattered now but not sleepy which is strange for me as I usually do get sleepy in the afternoon. Think I have gone past that today though what with being out. Managed to get myself some more fabric today, going to make myself a couple of tops. Works out at £4 each and lots left over after for something else.

Legend - Has your OH dared to return yet? I would have been just as furious as you, did he not think you might worry?!

Michelle - well done on your new headwear :D

I had an appointment with my midwife today. All my blood tests came back fine, my blood pressure is fine which I'm pleased with as it was low last time. She had a feel of my tummy and said "Ooh, I can feel a good sized baby there!" My DS was 9lb 3oz and she said second babies are usually bigger, crikey! Then we had a listen of the baby's heartbeat for the first time, it's so lovely to hear. The midwife was really pleased with everything so I'm feeling really happy now :j

Well done Michelle, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a new hat for you :D

I'm going to get cracking with the review writing, especially as I have a new saving mission now. A couple of weeks ago my DS started asking to go to Disneyland. I have no idea where he even heard of Disneyland! Neither myself nor DH have ever mentioned it to him, I wondered if he'd seen an advert, but he's only 3 years old, surely he can't be that influenced already! Anyway, DH and I have always planned on taking him to Disneyland Paris eventually so I thought we might as well start saving up now so we could do it properly and without as much worry about money when the time comes. We're not planning on going for at least 2 years so that the second baby (the one not yet born!) would be of an age where they at least had an idea what was going on! I thought I could start saving a little bit here and there and should hopefully be able to save quite a bit without really noticing since it will be over a few years.
Has anyone been to Disneyland Paris? Any ideas of prices as I've tried to google it but it wouldn't tell me prices.

On a different note, and totally non-money making but I need to vent somewhere - I am SOOOO mad at DH's mother right now. This is the reason I'm still up and posting at 2am in the morning, I'm so angry I don't think I could sleep. She looked after DS overnight last night, the first time since he was a baby and definitely the last. She's always been a pain in the bum, acting like she knows everything about parenting because she had a couple of kids. We tend to ignore her stupid comments but she's gone too far. When we went to pick up DS she was telling us what they'd been doing last night and she mentioned something on TV that they had watched. The name of the film rang a bell in the back of my mind, but not enough to say anything at the time. Once DS went to bed I googled the show and it turns out it was an 18 certificate horror film  It was definitely that film that they watched, going by a few comments she made about DS liking sharks, and I also checked the TV listings for yesterday and it was on. I just can't believe she would think it suitable for a 3 year old, regardless of whether he seemed to enjoy it or not. It would have been on as her OH watches things like that and neither of them would have had the sense to turn it off or take him out of the room!

I am just so angry, especially after years of her sneaky criticism and acting like she's the world's best parent and we're crazy for not doing everything she says (incidentally - DH tells me about his childhood, she was far from a good parent). DH was fuming when I told him, I convinced him to wait until tomorrow before he speaks to her but I can still see a MASSIVE row brewing. The problem is she acts like a child with things like this, the tears will start, then the screaming and shouting and then she'll phone DH's siblings and aunties to tell them her lies and make us look evil. Luckily most of them know what she's like as they've all been on the receiving end of her looniness. I just feel so sorry for DH as he feels really let down by his own mother :(

Sweetheart, I think you need a big hug...
Sorry just had to laugh about Disneyland Paris, you'd be surprised how quick kids pick up on something they want, I always remember DD she was 3, it was November and we were down in Devon on hols, at the time there was a program on cbbc, gordon the gnome, (something like that), the gnome was the voice of alan Titchmark, and there was 2 slugs, called Les and Des, which she thought was brilliant, as they were 2 gossips, and with dads names being Des, - our one neighbour he always pops outfor a chat, his names Ken, but Karen use to say Les + des are about again.
While this one morning, completely out of the blue, she says Les and Des have told me I'm having a slide for Christmas from Father Christmas, its a big one, its in the Argos catalogue....... yet we had never mentioned a big slide... she was insistent that Les and Des had said she was having it...

When we got back home, luckly Argos, had it in the catalogue, but trying to locate one was a nightmare, took about hr in store, she had it in the end.

I just can not believe mother in law, what the heck does she think shes playing at... hopefully DH can have a quiet word, but good luck.

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Sorry, but can I join the rant....
Have just had a flipping enough, you know that I'm fighting this damm access by his lordship, - his parents we were in contact with about 4 yrs ago and it went wrong... they got back in contact last yr, we've been trying to build the relationship... I found out that they had given their son photos of Miss Hoodie, which they knew he wasn't to have, he's used them for his own benfit, (all court saga, so apologies if its riddles).
Miss Hoodie is in a state - because cafcass are now involved, - the court date has got changed now Miss hoodies birthday...

They were due over start of Oct to spend wend with Miss Hoodie, they email, and say were coming for her bday, and were staying 4 nights!! and can i pull her out of school for 3 days!!

You can imagine how blue the air is.....

Not helped by the fact that I'm shattered, I have spent all day trying to de-gut my bedroom, how I have so much junk just don't know, finished emptying wardrobe, bedside unit, chester draws, and 2 book cases and 1 draw in bed... started at 9am, gave up at 4pm... 5 carrier bags charity shop, 1 bin bag rubbish, toilettries I think I could stock boots, counted 25 big bottles, 20 small ones... I sure my mother + Miss Hoodie think I stink, thou thats more me, as we have blow out at christmas on Boots points and treat ourselves, otherwise would not have the posher ones...

Still got the side of the bed, (the stuff is level with the bed), built in wardrobe and bedside unit...... then mum says your dads going to decorate and put your furniture up while your away!! great idea.... bar fact that clothes must be in about 30 carrier bags, and everything is mixed up, the idea was gut clothes when they go back, but sort everything out today!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Afternoon all

OH is on nights again so hes gone up to bed this afternoon. I thought I would get another review done so thats 8/25 done. Very pleased with the way its all going.

Michelle, I belong to the other review site (the C one) but only have a handful of reviews on it which I put on about a year or so ago. I wasn't that sure of what I was doing on it back then. Do people rate you and you rate them on it like DY? May be I could copy some of my reviews over on to there. I have a different name on there than on DY so I would have to add something to the bottom saying they are copied and my own reviews or something. What do you reckon? I think the ones on there already are copied from DY but like I said I didnt know what I was doing and didnt seem to be earning anything, only about 5p or something stupid so gave it up and just carried on with DY instead.

I managed to do a SN survey this morning but got screened out of all the other ones.

I'd love to see Chel - could you post it on FB and give us the link?

Michelle - thanks for the code. You're not tight. :) While I was sorting DD's clothes to take on hols, her wardrobe and drawers were such a mess, I emptied the lot on the floor and had a mass sort out. I took all the buttons off stuff (nothing much good for ebaying) and I use them as spares, or embellishments on my cards.

Mum2one - I suffer with knees a little, know it's due to weight too. Mum has just had her second knee replacement, and this time thank goodness it's been a success, mostly due to having lost four stone. I know what I need to do, it's just having the motivation. I hope everything gets sorted soon - I think you and Savvy are having the same run of bad luck. :(

Bunbun - they are called Springer for a reason. We had one and they are the bouncy-est dogs ever. They are extremely hard work. They look so cute and lovely but what I'm trying to say is don't rush into anything, do your research.

I've forgotten what else I read, (I'm tired) so I apologise if I didn't reply to anyone. Thanks again for the birthday wishes. :)

Please don't discount them for being springy! That's part of their nature. I have three and have bred four litters of springers - sure, they need walking and excercise, but they make fantastic family dogs and and are so loving. Mind you, they are heart-meltingly gorgeous as pups!!!

It is the same set up as DY, but you only get paid for rates whereas DY you get the initial amount for writing too. Also, it is 0.5p,1 or 1.5. The reason we are doing well at the minute is they have this promotion where you are being paid to write a review in the health or house and garden category. This means 50p per review you wouldn't get. I have also been lucky enough to get money from the premium fund for getting E ratings.

I would say, it depends on if you feel you could dedicate a bit extra time for reading rating, or you were willing to enter the comps. They seem to have a few of these promotions on which are easy money. It was 20p for any review in April, and 15p for any review in May.

All i did at first as well was put a little bit in my about me section to say i was this person over on the other site too. Most people who then recognised me started rating me.

You still have a few days of 50p promotion left, and I always say you have to be in it to win it. I'm earning better from there, but I have done well winning 2 £10 competitions on there, and getting the premium fund. I quite like it now I am used to it.

It has the same set up where you can receive alerts to tell you about certain people or who rates your review, and if you play with your friend group it alters who you see. There is also more reason to comment on reviews as you get extra points there, and go up through the levels quicker. People are more likely to read/rate the higher the colour.

Eg. the first review I placed over was one that received a crown on DY and i got 2 rates that weren't as high as i would have thought. Once established, I made that review top of my list on my homepage, and all of a sudden it was getting E ratings. It is a lot b1tchier than DY in some ways.

I guess what I am saying is it is up to you. I figure you are writing it, so what can it hurt to get paid on both.
