Chel - as far as I know Folksy is UK and Etsy is US, might be wrong but that is what I thought. I thought about selling on Ebay but I looked up home made cushions on there and looked at completed listings and they were going for about £15 and that was only ones like Cath Kidston fabrics etc. On Folksy all the cushions are priced either £20 or £25 which I know seems a lot for a cushion but I am putting a lot of work into them so want to get a good return on them. Plus you can have them listed for 6 months and you pay 20p to list and then 5% if you sell. I dont know if my cushions would get the £20 or £25 but suppose its worth trying them out and see if they sell, if not I can always put next one on bit lower price.0

It is when I say that out of that income , only 10,600 is hubbys wage for a full time 40 hr a week job , after tax. Just not right tbh. I can either see it as scary or see it as a challenge. Some of that I can get rid of in the next 3-4 years. So fingers crossed xx
That is why being part of this team is so important. And it is so motivating. While I have two arms that can work somehow, they will. Thank you all for being a great team and motivating each other. It really does help loads.SWAGBUCKS Nov 17sbs redeemed; 2 x £5 Amazon

thanks rufus
deffo don't sell yourself sort your cushions are amazing
i think when people look at ebay they think cheap and want everything for a bargain , where as folksy people know the work that goes into things and don't mind paying for it
at the moment im doing childrens stuff , hairclips and hairbands and im just starting a t-shirt to go with some tutus ive done
the hair stuff i wouldnt expect to get more than £5 so will have to check out the fee's on folky, etsy and compare them to ebay i think0 -

i agree Ddraig if it wasn't for you lot on this thread i wouldn't have done half as well as i have it really does help0 -
pink fluffy babe - sent you a PM before i saw your post here. I have had a couple of people join swagbucks, so thanks. I am not sure what reward i get, but i am sure it helps.
I had my first payment from vivatic today - £9.80.
OP was also good - about a £1 today. YG was 25p.
With ciao - i think i have worked out if i read/rate a review i get a community point, but also if i recieve a rate. I am now blue, and i think i went from white to blue at 1000 points. I don't understand why it has to be so complicated to work out your points over there. I do like how you can redeem at £5 though, and i asked for £5.34 yesterday. It gets paid into the bank account. I've copied over 14 new reviews to get to that, and getting between 20-30 rates so it is not mega profitable but not to be sniffed at.
Ddraig we seem to be on similar incomes. I sometimes feel like i work more hours than in a job doing all my tinkering to earn and save pennies, and i find it hard at times with only 2 kids so i don't know how you do it with 4. Needs must though and we are all in it together here.0 -
evening all, thanks to Elysia I have managed to add a number of you on T this evening, I will begin to look over polls etc over the next few days, I only have a few polls at the moment but if you could return the favour I would really appreciate it, cheersTo get to Disneyland Florida 20160

Hi guys, hope all is well.
The last 2 nights I have been doing extra work and working late so haven't managed to do any surveys but I have made up for it today as I have been in meetings all day managed to leave at a decent time!
I have done 50 quickpolls which lead to 4 surveys being taken and I tried to do another 19 but got screened out, so close to a redeem now so starting to get the excited feeling back again :rotfl:
Looks like everyone else is doing well tooAiming to completely pay off the credit card in 2012!0 -
Rufus - I agree with Chel. On etsy and folksy people expect something that has had time and effort (and one off pieces) and expect to pay more. On ebay, people just want a bargain.
Chel - we want pics of the things you've made. Come on, have a look at folksy/etsy and get listing. That's an order! LOLI've been making dainty necklaces. I'll check it out too.
Michelle - thanks for the info. I'm not into Ciao at all, I think I'll keep it up until payout and then leave it.
Emma - if you need any more help, just shout.
OMG - just noticed the time! Night allI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi everyone
Well done on getting paid for your shopping reviews, mine have been paid too as well as all my viva payments, it's all shaping up nicely and should go someway towards offixce 2010 and a new laptop. My amazon account is looking pretty healthy too. I had some of my love to shop voouchers arrive yesterday from loony too :j
Well done for getting on the scanning panel Elysia, I have been accepted onto a second scanning panel which should be hilarious when we get to scanning the shopping.
I must admit I have been a little MIA recently, ou studying takes up a fair bit of time, I am squeezing in family life, my hobbies, moneymaking and housework and trying to find the right balance.
I have my first tutuorial at a local college all day tomorrow so hopefully will be much more organised once I know how all my studies fit together and tma's etc.
Well done everyone on your money making, crafting and growing. I will try to have a look at all your blogs and see how you are all getting along. My blog has sadly been neglected for a while, yet there is plenty to go on there.
I hope to catch up later today with you all, once I read back several pages lolComping wishlist for 2017
