    thanks for the challenge elysia

    I have restarted looney and so far have done a couple of surveys and hundreds of polls

    I am enjoying WB and am about 70 away from a voucher. well done aspella on getting several already. it takes a long time. I tend to use up my points when I am in bed and I think OH is getting a bit fed up of the adverts! no matter how low the volume is they are still really loud!

    savvy shopper doing the dtd has made me more aware of shopping around and also stocking up when things are on offer. I will try and get my head round the coupon thread

    not sure anyone would want to buy anything I made - will stick to making for gifts!

    I have just got an iphone so will install the ebay app then I can get selling

    I haven't checked my totals and to be honest I think I will just write April off - I'm not sure where the time has gone. the highlight was getting my looney voucher!!

    I have decided to buy OH a kindle for his birthday in June and am about £30 sort on amazon so had better make an effort in May!

    EXCELLENT challenges as usual! You always seem to know just what we need :D

    T'Looney - I'm definitely up for this challenge! I did last months challenge of attempting every survey offered and it made a huge difference to my Looney points. Last year I only redeemed once with them and this year I'm almost at my second already :) I also agree about creating and commenting on opinions, the month we went crazy with that was great as I got so many bonus 500 points for my opinions going over 20. Maybe we should post a message on here when we write new opinions, I know if people do that then it would remind me to check their profile.

    Savvy shopper - I will definitely start using vouchers more. I get sent ones from Tesco and Boots and then forget about them until a few months after their expiry date :o I will make an effort to use them more, and to seek some out online. I did get a £2.99 Innocent voucher recently and I remembered to use that one.

    Make something to sell - I like the idea of selling my handmade cards, I just don't know how to go about it. DH's family are always saying I should sell them so they might buy some, but I always worry about people feeling they have to when they might not want to. I might get DH to ask them instead!

    Challenge 5: May 2011.

    1. Toloony

    Complete ALL surveys.
    Complete ALL polls
    Make and Rate Opinions

    We know it takes roughly three or four months to receive payment from T, so anything you earn this month will be paid around the end Aug/September. We really NEED to give this a really good go for the next couple of months for all our payments to arrive before October time, in preparation for Christmas.

    This has to be done regularly - remember that month when we ALL did each other's polls? - we never redeemed so quickly! Come on ladies (gents) we CAN do it. :D

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    2. Woohoo!!!
    Play on any one of a number of free bingo sites, and lets see how much we can make. Not strictly money making with a regular income, but it's a bit of fun, and something different from surveys.
    There are several ones I've seen posted on here, woohoo, bingoport ;), costa and cheeky. Are there anymore that you know of?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    3. Become A Savvy Shopper!

    I know the DTD has ended but saying that, the Pricecheck is still a great offer. You can shop at Tesco, get the prices of Asda via the pricematch and still get clubcards points too! Just remember, like before, to keep the shopping with things that are cheaper at Asda separate from things that are cheaper at Tesco.

    I'm going to start using coupons more often (coupon thread here) and make more savings.

    There is a thread especially for 1p finds at Tesco here

    Use any of the online codes available before you purchase anything here

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    4. The fun one! Make something and sell it.
    This could be cards, cakes, jewellery or even the seeds you grew last month. Make it and sell it, and see how much you earn.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If you need any help with organising and planning, Mum2one off the sister thread, puts up some challenges too. Everyone on there are lovely, and just as helpful as this thread. It would be lovely to see you there.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread - we are all doing brilliantly due to the help and support we give each other. We're doing really well - we CAN keep it up. :D
    Other things get in the way sometimes, but we're all here to keep each other motivated. Let's go for it and make May's totals the best yet. :D
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Thank you for another brilliant challange, and the compliment for the other thread.

    Unfortunatlety we didn't make much money April, but 2 weeks in Dom Rep, certainly drained it!! but worth every penny, and the memories, the suntan, (till the white bits go on show!!). xx

    May Challenges

    1. Toluna
    That is a def yes, so far this yr have brought Miss Hoodie new bedroom furniture (half price - but vouchers paid for it), priced some for my room £190 - so far £45, theres £15 or £30 to come, near a redeem.

    2. Free Bingo sites
    Def fancy looking into those, a few yrs ago when they 1st did the free bingo, we had a good few wins, and paid for a break and spending money. Def look into that.

    3.Shopping
    Tesco - main shopping, clubcard points - any use money off vouchers when we get them, just come to end of 6 x £12 Sainsburys money off vouchers, (think we got 3 used - goes for Miss Hoodies ballet)

    Morrisons - Petrol now, cheaper than Tesco and get 1p per £1, whereas Tesco petrol 1 point per £2.00.

    Boots - Do all my phone top ups here, 4p back in £1.00, not bad we've got 6 pay + go in house, average £25 pm in top ups, all helps for Jan sales

    :oPricecheck - keep forgetting about that - kick up the rear plz if I forget!!

    4. Make something and sell it.
    That is so weird, as tonight Miss Hoodie made her 1st pair of earrings, - made 5 prs in the end, and made 5 bracelets, ready for car boots / summer fayre etc. Promised her she can have the money for those!
    Thank you again xx
    xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Well it all looks to be going brilliantly - you're all so organised - WELL DONE. :D

    I've just done a survey on VO and it will take me over the £10 once it clears. I did a review on Do YOu yesterday and although I could cash it in for Amazon, I'm hoping to keep going for a cheque. You know what - I might just go for it this month - I'm up to £23.00, so if I pull my finger out, I might just do it. :)

    Yes hun, you write a reply with no less than 80 words, that way you earn 100 points. You get nothing if it's less than that.

    Big tip - type it into Word so you can see the wordcount and paste it over into T.
