OMG! Just wrote a really long reply to everyones posts which just disappeared when I accidentally hit the back button :'(

Quick round up, cakes look yum kec, sorry to hear your poorly Elysia, where is everyone (echo echo echo...) thanks for the tip mum2one, might look into doing that, glad to hear your feeling better Susie, hope your feeling better today twinkle hun, welcome back bunbun make the most of it whilst it's still running, I would have but going to Tesco five days in a row was getting ridicoulous lol.

I got up early today to go to get my hair done, highlights/cut etc. Anyway parked up in a cheap long stay carpark (not so cheap for short stay) arrive to be told I had the wrong day, not sure how as when I booked it she said see you next Wednesday? They could have fitted me in for highlights but it would have been more expensive and they wouldn't have blow dried it

Picked up my champers so not a completely wasted trip, and two copies of despicable me from Morrisons at £5.00 each, they had none on the shelf and the lady said it wasn't stocked anymore as it wasn't in the chart but after a little persuading she found copies out back

Also mentioned on the grabbit board - The Hummingbird Bakery's new book - Cake Days, is selling for £6.00 in Sainsbury (£6.99 on The Book People not inc delivery) down from £20.00. Great bargain for anyone who hasn't got it yet, will be getting a copy for my sis tomorrow. I'm going to make either a cheesecake or the key lime pie tomorrow from the first book, I'm a little excited!

Going to catch up with some surveys and do some studying :)

hi all, screened out all day today grr, not much else doing, been trying to sort out public liability insurance but why is it you then need loads of other insurances!! Need to try and find some more info but sick of searching, I apparently need public and product insurance (fair enough), insurance for selling online, insurance for working from home, just turned into a whole sales pitch!!!

Going to make some bits tonight, need to find a couple of nice baby blankets this week and some cream eggs :)

Awol yesterday as my lot got the latest bug doing the rounds. :(

No posts on here today? Gosh it's quiet. What am I going to do with you lot? Big kick up the bum for everyone. Here goes ...... LOL.

It's nearly April so do what you have to do and get ready for a big surge in the beginning of the month. :D The sun is starting to shine, and we have the kids off for nearly three weeks, so we need to give the money making a good go in the first week/10 days or so, before the kids (if you have them) spend it all the rest of the month. ;)

I hope everyone's feeling a little better today. Kec - I hope you saved me one of those cakes :)

Does hitting 40, spending a weekend in wales with the family!! and escaping to Dom Rep for 2 weeks.... not very mse - but unfortunately were having the bathroom all ripped out, new floor, ceiling, carers shower, - we'd have been without any facilities for 8 days. So Miss Hoodie has had to have an extra week off for Easter!!
Miss Hoodie is helping me spending money - choose the expenisve dolphin trip - but its once in a lifetime so were going foring it, - in theory needed £500, so far raised £403, thats mainly been money neutral, so pretty pleased.

Thou she's asked can she have a sleepover when we get back help!!

Then its back to the money making, and look again at the xmas list - see where we need to spend the money.

Is everyone all sorted for mothers day. Wrapped the bits day before, and posted a present to Ireland for her other grandmother - keeps the peace!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Morning all

Didnt do much yesterday as leg playing up and couldnt get comfortable. Have had ti checked by Doctor, says looks like I have pulled a muscle and torn some tendons so got to rest it as much as I can. Bloody annoying as its making me move about at a snails pace and making everything else ache where I am limping.

Done well on SN this last week, am nearly back up to half way again already and only redeemed last week, but todays surveys are all being rejected, typical.

My SIL rang yesterday, asked if I want to go round hers this afternoon as she is bringing my Dad over. Said I will if she picks me up and brings me home but cant walk up there so getting a lift. She has some bits of fabric for me so hopefully I will be able to make something out of it. Hoping there might be some colours that will go with my Dad's quilt I want to make, wants browns and earthy colours for it. Found a few bits in my stash yesterday which will save me paying out for more but still need a few bits more.

Hello ladies, another quiet day on here I see! You must all be busy doing something exciting... Tesco thread per chance?

Just going through the motions as such today, doctors tonight which I'm strangely looking forward to although dreading it at the same time. Just want to get myself sorted. Work are f'ing me up again this week which has really got me down, I just want to go home, eat Lime Doritos (seriously they are amazing, you should try them and if you don't like them send them down to me!!).

Elysia, a bottle of water, I'm jealous lol

Susie I haven't got online selling insurance or working from home insurance...

Rufus rest up hun, hope you managed to get that fabric from your SIL too.

Please don't shout if I have got the wrong thread - I'm money making, but not for Christmas as I don't have many people to give presents to. I can't find another suitable thread.

I am having a stall selling homemade cakes at a primary school on Friday afternoon. I have only done craft stalls for several years, and am out of touch with prices. I wondered if anyone could tell me the normal 'going rate' for cupcakes (decorated) at schools these days? I asked in the 'Up your income' section and someone said £1.50 but I can't see parents paying that for their kids to have a cake. The cakes are largish cupcakes, but not muffin sized and decorated with icing and other decorations. This is a school in the 'inner city', where there isn't much money floating round! I wondered if 75p was too much. My Mum thought no one would pay more than 50p.

I'd be grateful for any advice.
I have public liability insurance, registered kitchen & food safety certificate before anyone asks!

Fantastic freebies Buns, I love a good freebie as much as I do a product test!! And a giftcard - I think you should treat yourself to something nice :)

Parapusher, I went to a church summer fayre last year and they had a stall selling cakes. The very small ones were 20p, and some of the better ones were 50p then they had some nice decorated ones, the type that are very popular at the minute, for £1. So there was a whole range of prices. Are the cakes being donated to raise money or is it for you to personally make some money? I think this would make a difference. If donated you just want them all to sell and to make some money, if you are selling for personal profit you need to work out your expenses and work the cost out in relation to this.
