    Evening all

Elysia - your comment made me laugh - work would be a rest however I work in a care home so never off my feet and never seem to have time for a proper break - I enjoy it though - seeing the old people smile makes it worth it.

I have managed some rating and 4 reviews today so am well chuffed - tomoro I still have to mop kitchen floor, iron (small pile) dust and hoover upstairs and then my home is spotless!!!

Bad new tonight oh came in and said car had gone bang as he was nearly home luckily it is just the exhaust and he reckons he should be able to get the part for bout £40 so now he is having the morning off tomoro to sort it - could well do without the expense and him losing hours.

Have decided after xmas I am not going to put any reviews on chow just try and do some rating to get my stats up and then I will wait for the promos and copy across what fits therefore making the most from it!!

Haven't done any surveys again today but am happy with what i have managed.

Hope you are all ok - i must join sb after xmas

  • Emmad - thanks for finding and rating my review and for the advice. Hopefully my second that I have done tonight is a bit better. How do I get to rate other people? It keeps telling me that I can't until one of my reviews is rated as helpful, but I have a review and people have rated it as helpful. HELP! Really pleased as already made 66p though -lol!

Elysia - I have found you and added you to my 'buddies' as soon as I can work out how to rate I will be getting straight onto it!

Cha97michelle - what a fab total! How long did it take you to get that amount?

On another note, I had a letter from tax man today saying they owe me a lump sum of money from 2007/2008 as I had overpaid on tax - yeah!!!!! Happy days!

Really looking forward to the new 2012 board, money neutral for xmas and birthdays here we come!

The sign up code will be active until 11:59 PST on Monday, 12/19.

might only be for referrals there though by the look of it.

I had a balance of £1.18 on the 1st of December, so that is all from this month, but I have been on the site from April this year so people know I am a regular and I spend hours each day rating. I also have about 70 reviews already written, so most of my time can go to reading and rating, and then people rate me back.

You will need to have an average rate of helpful I think from what you are saying.

emma I have said the exact same thing. It is not worth writing loads on there when there are promos like this. I'd rather spend all month getting loads of rates on what we have already done. I plan on writing lots and saving them in word or something, starting them on dy 1 per day to maximise, then have them ready to paste there in promos. I might group them by type to make it easier to find them, as it took me ages to look through all of dy and write down what I have to go across. Sounds a bit too organised but I think it could be worth it.

I am going to keep a list of everything I write and put on DY on an excel spreadsheet and categorise it in there and then I can search for the reviews when there is a promo on chow that suits the review - it would be nice if they did the 50p for any review again like they did this year!

Going to get the housework finished today and hopefully loads of time for rating (I hope) oh has just gone for the car part so fingers crossed it is not too expensive!!:o

    Morning all

My SIL just rang and asked me to meet her and my bro up the town, didnt give me much warning ,lol, they had said either today or tomorrow. I have done a couple of surveys already though so not too bad. I will catch up better later on when I get home xx
  • Morning all.

5 days to go so today is the day I really need to get organised. not off to the best of starts as I woke up with a headache, and then DS2 in his wisdom decided to empty the collection water pot on the dehumidifier, so a couple of litres of water onto my landing carpet.

Great idea there emma about the spreadsheet. I was thinking pen and paper, but it would be better on a spreadsheet to categorise then have a column to fill in when it gets copied across.

Enjoy yourself today Rufus with your family.

Our only plan is sorting some of the house out as it really is a tip. Lots of stuff out of place. I might start flylady again in the new year too and try and stop it as it is mentally draining, but it is mostly the kids moving stuff about and I don't know how you stop that.

I've got the car in for its MOT this afternoon, so we'll need to take that.

Well it goes from bad to worse, OH went to the car shop and they said the part would be £200 yikes, he then came home while they were trying to get it in stock tried to get the part off and realised that he can't do the job after all, he is now at the garage getting a price so I am dreading that call.

Going to start my housework now and doing it as fast as I can as I need to get a good stock of reviews written and posted as now we are gonna have a hefty car bill and not actually sure how the hell we are going to pay it. Really put a dampener on Christmas :(

    Have a lovely morning Rufus.

Emma and Michelle - sounds like an excellent plan. I have pasted three Chow reviews onto DoU, so I've loads to go over at some point. The problem is, if they are not on Chow, they probs won't be on there either, so I'll have to wait for the time they are adding books, and then it will only be five a week. I hate there new system, It's rubbish. It'll still mean I'll be getting paid twice, but with books only level 3 on DoU, It doesn't seem worth the effort.

ETA: Emma sorry to hear about the car. There's always something. Ours is OK atm, (touches wood and fingers crossed) but it's nearly 11 years old. Less than 50,000 on the clock still though, so I hope she can make it a bit longer.

Michelle - I've looked at the flylady thread a few times, We'll have to give it a go in Jan. :)

  • That is rubbish about the car Emma. Always something isn't it. At least you have some coming in from the promo, and you can make a bit more still to help some of the cost.

Morning Elysia, it is a pain how DY is with product suggestions. There is actually nothing I've added this month as I don't want to in those categories, then like you say, when they add it, we will have only 5. I hope they sort it.

My plan is candle reviews over there at the moment, as I just bought myself some. I don't feel that confident reviewing them though. The books I added before that ended I haven't actually had time to read, so hopefully I can read them over Christmas when there is some chill out time. :o I hope. :rotfl:

Then I am going to review stuff like books as I read them, so when it comes to it, I can just add them when they let us rather than wait for that time and forget what it is all about. :D
