I think our first internet was AOL and that was in 96/97ish. I remember that it cost 1pm per minute on top of your phone bill. So during the day it was about 7p a minute and my Mum wouldn't let me use it. I can remember waiting for 6pm when the evening rate kicked in and I could check my e-mail. Seems weird now!
Thinking about it, wasn't it called AOL gold? Thought I should mention that for the rampers. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Y'know, I think it was. Tell you what, chicken tasted like chicken then too and you could go to the cinema and still get the bus home with change from a fiver.
Where's Pastures? This thread has her name all over it. I bet she still doesn't have a phone, socks or heating. Or know what any of those things are.0 -

She has a mobile that takes pictures. She doesn't always get ''teasing'' tone so don't want her to feel picked on. I'm guessing she takes very good care of her socks.0 -

I remember our tv like that when I was little. I remember how thrilled my Dad was with it.0
