Combi boiler giving smoke

Hi, I wonder if anyone could give me some advise please. I am not good at DIY. Recently I noticed my Glow Worm combi boiler is giving smoke as soon as I switch it on. Obviously I expect some smoke, but the fumes are bit too much. It is fairly an old boiler, I am on British Gas Home care plan. I tried their number, perhaps they are too busy in sorting out other issues so couldntget through. In terms of heating, it is fine, my only worry is that whether any part is buring inside thats why it is giving too much smoke? I would appreciate your advise. Have a lovely Crimbo!!!
Cheers

Keep trying BG.
They are only coming out to the likes of you who are on a homecare contract at present.
Couldn't even guess at what is causing this without being in front of it.0
