    IMO Skype is not a serious VOIP provider - limited features, non standard protocols and now massive wide scale outages. I don't know why people bother.

    Is there a better alternative that addresses your concerns?

    I do have a skype account too but cant remember last time I used it.

    Oh I see you are thinking of Computer to Phone calls. I am more interested in Computer to Computer calls.

    Yeah, I use VOIP as my main phone as I don't have a land line but I can use the same service for computer to computer calls too.

    Have been using Skype for years both for home landline, mobile and pc, l can't agree with your view of limitied features to be honest but of course each to their own.

    Mine is still not working properly. Calls to the test line(Echo) sometimes work and somtimes don't! My son can't contact me on Skype.
