this is how they get u to join. It has happened to me and a few people i know. Some times there is a bill for 99p.
if u phone the careline and cancel they do it without any problems and tell u to keep the book as a kind gesture.0 -

I would, if all the information was contained in one place, but usually the information required would depend on the exact circumstances of the case. general information can be found on the likes of the OFT, Consumer Direct etc, but there are usually too many variables that would make a concise post unviable, and given my studies at the mo, I just don't have the time to do such a thing. Just one example, though, would be the unfair contract terms regualtions. It depends on the details though, and contracts need to be examined in their entirety to make a decision.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -

Ring them up and cancel. If you do not you will have an avalanche of demands for more and more money.
The last one will be the threat of debt collectors.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Hubby has had books from both of these clubs in the last couple of days. He also hasn't ordered anything.
He's emailed them, asking them to come and collect, or to send a return label.0 -

I noticed on one of the free games sites (where you choose 3 numbers and if they are the ones you win a prize) that some of the things in the boxes below the numbers(which you are supposed to choose eg newsletters from book clubs) that they have a proviso that they can send you information ,offers and .......books. Its very sneekily worded .
Im still waiting for my wretched book club books 2 weeks after subscribing!!0
