Australian visitor to UK, SIM card advice
On 1st January I am having a visitor stay with me, who has asked me to get hold of a SIM card. She has mentioned Vodafone and that she would like to be able to use the internet and photo messaging - she has an iPhone so obviously doesn't want to use her Australian SIM card.
Are these available at a Vodafone shop? I want to make sure I get the right thing for her, and wasn't sure whether having an iPhone made a difference. I can connect her to my wi-fi at home, it is just when she is out and about visiting and she wants to use her phone.
Additionally, she has an iPad. At home in Australia she buys credit monthly to use the internet.....not having one of these I don't know what I need to do. Is it possible to get SIMs for these easily?
Sorry if these sound like silly questions - I just want to get this right for her, and also make sure that she doesn't pay more than she needs to while she is here, as she is in the UK for all of January.
Many thanks in advance.

It depends which iPhone she has. If it's a 4 then I don't even know if PAYG sims are available yet. No doubt, however, that someone else will be along in a minute with a more definitive answer. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Apologies....it is an iPhone 3GS.0

The 3GS take a standard sim, so any Voda payg will work in one. Just make sure that the plan has data on it. I don't think any give an allowance for MMS, but I'm not sure ?0

I have a standard Vodafone PAYG SIM (75p from B & M) I topped up with £10 a couple of days ago and got 300 UK text messages and 500MB web use to use by the 18/01/11 'free'Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I dont know if Vodafone Australia lock phones to the network the same way as Vodafone UK.
In order to use a UK SIM, your visitor will need to ensure that the phone is unlocked.0
