I am a nurse, and work some of the holiday period - we try to swap about so the same person doesn't work every year. I should be working Boxing day, but as I am unwell at the moment, I am going to be off (didn't go down to well at work :eek: but what can you do!)
The worst shift I find is the night shift on Christmas day - you spend all day looking at the clock
One year we did Christmas on 23rd, as I was working Christmas eve and day, and a night on boxing day (definately got the short straw that year!!) We had a lovely day, and the kids got their pressies early, hubby went to his mums for 'real' christmas, so the kids got to do it all over again...whats that song - I wish it could be christmas every day :rotfl:Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

I worked boxing day last year and will next year! Working right up until Christmas Eve but feeling festive.

Yes heading to parents after work on Christmas Eve, spending Christmas Morning/Afternoon celebrating there, than OH finishes work will come over and in Evening head to his folks... then back to work on Monday! lol...
Last year on NYE we were in Berlin and we got engaged so this year will feel weird not seeing him and will be a year since getting engaged how exciting!

my OH works on the railway and is going in for 6.30 xmas day and boxing day and should be back for 8.30 so only a few hours to check the site and then he is on call for a few days then0

christmas eve - probably til early hours of christmas day
christmas day (off for once)
boxing day(hes going his mums)
27th - his mums
28th- his mums I think he could be working the evening though
New Years Eve - working
New Years Day- working
2nd - working
3rd- working
This year hes got loads of time off!!! Im actually being serious last year he had Christmas day off only Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
