Buying something that drops in price

If I buy something today(for me , not a present) and it goes down I. Price on boxing day. 6days later. Do I have right for shop to refund the difference?? I know Currys do a 7 day price promise, is this in the sales of goods act or a specific shop policy? I have look at the sales of goods act but corny understand it.

Thanks

Peter

It's really up to the shop... there is no legislation to compel the shop to refund the difference.

  • They dont have to, you can ask but they no obligated to do so. If it worked other way and then asked you what would you do you would tell them to "get lost"

People were not short and shirty.

People gave you answers to your question.

You have no "rights" to a refund/reduction/money back/exchange - but that doesn't mean you can't ask.

If they put the prices up would you go back and pay the difference?

I just wonder if this axe swings both ways... :D

Sorry if not giving you the answer you want makes me short and shirty (and yes, I am below average height).
