BTL, vile lowlife business, nobody wants to be living under their roofs

No they don't!
If every BTL wre to vanish tonight(you can only pray) not one house would vanish with them.
If every BTL were to vanish tonight, there'd be a lot of homeless people.
There'd be riots in the streets.
It seems you have a vendetta against private rental, yet ignore the point it's a fraction of what it was previously (in terms of percentage) and that there are less rented properties now as a percentage of total housing than there was 30+ years ago:wall:

Hi All
In a few hours i am heading off to the imaginary rough sleepers that is going to appear that it is open but is'nt, i am sure Chucky will explain to all seeing as he knows all about it. before i go i would like to just give my conclusion of this thread.
Conclusion... BTL it seems is only being defended by BTL landlords... The End
I would like to elaborate more, but it really is as simple as that, nodoby apart from a few students starting out in life, or the completely useless or HB spongers really care for it.
Anyway, time to get my charitable head on, i will see people far worse of than what i am talking about on here, people who we have to try and lift and try and get a foot back into society mainstream, a society where many of them feel they are watching from a distance.
But it is always at the back of my head that i know young well qualified professional couples who both are in work in responsible jobs, and if they cannot afford to buy property how the f*** have they got a chance, Hmmmmmmm
I try to keep that kind of story to myself, i would personally do anything just to give these guys some hope
Merry Xmas to you all
even you BTL filth, i dare say some of you have an element of good somewhere in your shallow empty little souls0 -
Fox, have a read of this

and also have a look at this
Private rental has went from circa 75% down to circa 13%, yet despite this still envokes the venomous attacks from yourself.
Look back 30 years, Private & Social renting was approx 45% of te market, yet in recent years it's down to circa 32% (IIRC Owner occupancy is around 68%)
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the diminishing rental market given the stats presented to you in this post:wall:

I afraid you are wrong. There were a few posters who pointed out, with supportive evidence, that possibly, just possibly BTL isn't the cause of all evil. I'm not a BTL landlord and have no intentions of becoming one. There are nice people and nasty people - maybe in your world all the nice people go into the caring professions and the nasty gravitate towards child abuse, drug dealing, mass murder and BTL. That says more about your world than the real world.
The premise for your thread was that a BTL landlord made a woman cry. You did nothing and must be feeling quite bad about that. You've also told us that, indirectly at least, your income relies upon the BTL market. Again, you must be feeling quite upset about that.
The arguments you've offered relied totally on emotive statements and rhetoric with little in the way of substance.Merry Xmas to you all

I did see BTL landlords compared to Hitler a couple of posts ago. As he was a well known BTL landlord this seems like a rational comparison. Other well known BTL landlords include Fred & Rose West and the Inn Keeper in Bethlehem - I hope landlords do much more work on their reputations in 2011.
Thank you for highly entertaining thread. As someone said earlier the most well though out rants are the best.
The highlight for me was chucky doubting your charitable activities. Talk about taking the shame - he's going to have to change his username - brilliant.
Happy Christmas to you as well.0 -

Same old tactics, run away and find a survey or some graph or excel speadsheet that "proves" your point. Are you Kingofnowhere from PMT Motley Fool the paperclip collecting anorak or the skinny little runt Mike4 also know as Mike(the boilerman) Bryant from Reading the who on Twitter brags about the size of his "wod" in order to compensate for his 5.4" weazle like frame and no life.
Who then ends his little statement with an emotive BS such as "some people you just can't reach"...Oh get over yourself mate.
I have done enough research over the last few years to form a strong opinion, come up with something more substantial and if it changes my mind fair enough.
Your so called debating is nothing of the sort i would wager, you are a BTL "my property is my pension" greedy money making landlord that hides behind a graph that suits your own ends, and you will not happy until you brainwash the rest of us.
I hate your type of defence more than most, at least the BTL types who have no other motive but to try and make money whatever it takes and sod everone else and are open about it you can at least admire for their honesty.
Please tell me why landlords work so hard at convincing us that they are so kind to their tennants:), stinks of over compensating to me.
Look Pal, i am not hiding anything, i hate your business, i think it stinks to high heaven and if i could take this to the streets i would, thats my stance, so forget all that emotive made up B*** S**t it will not work with me.
It gets to the point where you have to draw a line in the sand and fight for what you believe in, BTL is now an lowlife cause that need to be fought.0 -

You say same old tactics, yet offer no responce to discuss.
You say you would take it to the streets, yet demonstrably you walked away in your example
You say you've done enough research to have a strong opinion, fair enough, but what comes accross is that you've got your finger in your ears singing lalalalala to any info of note.
You asked the question "
Please tell me why landlords work so hard at convincing us that they are so kind to their tennants:), stinks of over compensating to me.
"
I can only answer that I am good to my tenants as they are the source of income to the business, it helps reduce void period and ensures income is not dropped.
I'm happy to debate specific points with you if you wish. I'm not however going to try tralling through your rants without merit.:wall:
