All he's doing is speaking the truth in that Murdoch's empire and influence needs to be reigned in a bit.
    yes, that right...

declaring 'war' on a business that generates huge tax revenues for the country and is very successful needs to "reigned in a bit"...

it's fine for me to say it but he's a government minsister - did you not know that?

poor old Vince and the rest of the Lib Dems have got themselves in a bit of a little pickle....

i always thought politicians did the job because they wanted power and this is just an open admission of this case.

They just had a phone in on radio 2's Jeremy Vine's show trying to get people to ring in giving support to Rupert M and all they got lots of discontent about his position in society and no support--they didnt seem just socialist callers!--maybe Mr cable is just doing what the electorate want! now that would be a first for a politician!

he wont resign, and the Tories wont want him to resign, Vince has been very cooperative with the Tories in this coallition

and tbh he is within his right to block monopolising of markets
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

The worst part of this whole situation is that it plays right into the hands of Murdoch, well done Vince :T the Torygraph will be having a lovely Christmas.

I'm afraid you don't understand how the system works. Perhaps less forgivably, neither, it seems, does he.

İt took the death of Maxwell to reveal how corrupt he was-i should think their are lots of skeletons in Mr M's--we get all uptight when someone like Putin pulls the strings in Russia but at least the people like him!

i like what Vince says but he's probably not suited to a minister role or even a senior role and this just proves it...

I wouldn't have thought the BBC would organise a pro Murdoch phone in :) especially considering how 'biased' they are.
